I have a feeling Ron Paul would have gotten a lot further in the polls if the MSM had painted him as the active duty military's choice, rather than a 90's ghostwriter racist.

He didn't fight back, though.

Too busy trashing the Federal Reserve, corporatism and the military industrial complex to deal with MSM smear jobs. You could tell by the clapping at the press conference that people have grown sick of it over the past eight years. CNN needed that treatment years ago.
More and more Americans have lost their fear of the left and their gulag mentality. People are pushing back now, and Trump is leading the way.

On the aggregate, I'd say you're about right. Surveillance State was the only way to fly by the 1860s, at the latest. The "aggregate" actually probably shifted for good about the time that Little Big Stuff Al Hamilton sent his stepnfetchits, the American Fabius and Lighthorse Harry, out to personally straighten out the MIngo Creek boys, and to let them know that personal papers and effects are keen, but only after the duty had been collected.Smitty-48 wrote:Americans are, on the aggregate, Uber Security Hawks, what should be pretty obvious, is that nobody is voting for Eddie Snowden and Co, so get real.GrumpyCatFace wrote:We don't get to choose who is nominated. The electorate are actually Uber Security Hawks, folks, plain to see.

I'm not putting Politico on the pedestal, but they're reporting: Trump filled the room with paid staffers who clapped and cheered as he blasted members of the media as purveyors of “fake news.” http://www.politico.com/story/2017/01/t ... dia-233496Speaker to Animals wrote:You could tell by the clapping at the press conference that people have grown sick of it over the past eight years. I wouldn't put it past him. And I'm with you on the pushback to the regressive left, but I think it remains to be seen whether or not this is the game changing political shift you've been hyping up in one of these threads, the democrats have several faux-bamas being bred across the country to replace the messiah, they'll be back.

An hyperpoliticized IC is a blinded IC, who knew?
American IC is a classic case of confirmation bias, they start with the conclusion, based on partisan rather than national security imperatives, then ignore anything which does not fit the desired partisan outcome. "Putin is WMD!"
You don't win the Budget Wars in America, by telling the partisans things they don't want to hear.
