I don't think Asian is used as a description as often as some might want you to believe.
It is used when there is a group of people from different Asian nations but almost never for individuals.

tldr: using some social engineering, these guys called a cremation center posing as a communist official and learned that 61% of the deaths happened at home and, as of a week ago, they were processing over a hundred bodies per day in just one home (back when the fatalities were reported less than 500). So a majority of the deaths were never recorded if this is accurate.

If that percentage is accurate and widespread, the real death toll in China should be about 3,250 right now, with about 1,900 deaths not reported.

tldr: based on current data, if this goes pandemic, then we should expect that for every 100 infections, 15 people are going to need hospitalization, and 2 people out of those 15 are going to die.

What he is not talking about here is the fact that the 2% figure is dependent upon access to ICU beds, and we have limited ICU beds. I think my area might have maybe 25-50 beds at most. If your area has, say 50 beds, once you go past 2,500 critical cases, your ability to reduce that 15% to 2% is over, which would be 16,667 total infections. If this thing can infect 60% of a population easily, then a population of over maybe 3,000 with only 50 ICU beds would be overwhelmed. Most small towns would be devastated.

According to this, the US has 20 ICU beds per 100,000 Americans. If 60% of the population gets this disease, then 60,000 of those 100,000 will be infected, and 9,000 of those 100k people's lives will depend upon access to an ICU bed, of which there are only 20.

Or.. going back to his per 100 figures.. there are going to be at best 1 beds for those 100 people, so 14-15 would be SOL, it would seem. And THIS is why the mortality rate in China could be much higher. They likely have bodies sealed in apartments right now, and bodies are being shipped directly from homes to crematoriums without being diagnosed in the hospitals.

It would be helpful if he discussed this at some point.
