Re: And another one bites the dust...
Okay. I was just able to do one one-armed push-up, right side only. My feet were spread apart a little like Bruce Lee was in that demonstration.
It's really hard for me. I am still on lever push-up with one hand stabilizing a ball at distance to one side. That's hard enough.
Doing that one-armed push-up on your finger, I guaranfuckingtee, is going to be a fucking beast of a feat.

As in, no fucking way is that anywhere near as easy as a one-armed push-up on your palm.

If I were able to do a one-armed push-up, I imagine it would add some difficulty, but not as much as the difference between one- and two-armed.Speaker to Animals wrote:As in, no fucking way is that anywhere near as easy as a one-armed push-up on your palm.
Keep in mind, this was a guy that played ping pong with nunchaku.

You could probably do one-armed push-ups in about a year if you followed the Convict Conditioning progressions. That's what I did and I just did a single one-armed push-up. I am pretty close right now.
Going to your fingers in that progression is not at all just a linear scaling from the difficulty of finger push-ups in general.
Anyhoo.. that video you posted just blew up the Crowder hypothesis outright.

Yeah, Crowder's just trolling for a reaction. That movie looks hilarious tho - the actor can't move like Bruce did.Speaker to Animals wrote:GrumpyCatFace wrote:If I were able to do a one-armed push-up, I imagine it would add some difficulty, but not as much as the difference between one- and two-armed.Speaker to Animals wrote:As in, no fucking way is that anywhere near as easy as a one-armed push-up on your palm.

That's pretty incredible, I'd never seen that before.

None of that shit would be legal in MMA.

Why not? The problem is he trained to win in real combat, not necessarily a regulated duel.
Think about how pointless the UFC ground fighting is on the street. Bruce Lee grew up in Hong Kong street fighting gangs as far as I know.
Street fighting and actual.combat is not a sport, as you know.
Think about goals too. In UFC your goal is to defeat an opponent within tbe rules of the sport. On the street you goal is to survive with minimal damage, which doesn't necessarily mean defeating your opponent (quite the opposite).
