Yeah but Shattenkirk is way better than Gardner, and Alzner is way better than Polak. Just because you have a poor man's version of their players on your bottom four D, doesn't mean you are near the Caps level. That's silliness.

Kadri ties it, you can breathe a tiny bit easier. Losing to the Lightning without Stamkos though, that would be typical Leafs.

Not really that far from the Caps level, there's nobody on the Caps D I would trade for nor sign, the Leafs are far from a Kieth and Seabrook, but so is Washington. Washington is actually no closer to that than the Leafs are.
But in the meantime the Caps defense is much better even if you wouldn't sign or trade for them. So not sure how that is relevant.

Second, NBC's Richard Engel, who reports that "I've been talking to senior US military officials and they say that something is seriously under consideration, that it could happen imminently, that a wide range of options are being presented to the president. This could develop very quickly, even within the next couple, the next several hours." According to Engel's sources, Trump is leaning toward a "limited" response, targeting Assad's chemical weapons capabilities.
“I've got a phone that allows me to convene Americans from every walk of life, nonprofits, businesses, the private sector, universities to try to bring more and more Americans together around what I think is a unifying theme..." - Obama

What day was it when we lit up Iraq the second time? I remember it was daylight. I want to say Friday.

NORAD reports that Syrian high altitude bombers are currently shadowing normal incoming air traffic from the North Pole.

It's better, it's not "much" better, the sum of the parts does not add up to an elite D, the elite D is all in the top pairing, the bottom 4 D's of the league are all pretty much the same, it's the elite top pairing which seperates the wheat from the chaff, and the Caps don't have one anymore than the Leafs do.

Will the Senate filibuster the Congressional war resolution, doe??? We have to have the declaration of war first, so what's to be done with a lazy Senate minority?

What bout the nuclear option on the nuclear option?

True, I never claimed the Caps D were elite, I claimed that they better than Columbus especially when it comes to depth, and the Blue Jackets D certainly isn't elite either.

I'd say they're about the same, but Jones and Werenski have a higher ceiling than Carlson and Niskanen, I don't think anybody in the league would trade Columbus' D for Washington's, Jones and Werenski have elite top pairing ceiling, Carlson and Niskanen are who they are, and they would be the second D pairing on Columbus.
