Another way to look at this is that 71% of Californians want the State to stay completely out of the decision to abort.
The framing matters.
If you want to stand for freedom, that’s what it looks like. Obviously I don’t want anyone to abort at 9-months, but I don’t need a State Law to enforce it.
Californians are not looking for freedom. They love the government deciding their life choices on pretty much every other issue.
Freedom is not being able to do whatever the fuck you want.

It is, so long as it doesn’t hurt someone else. I’m this case - an unborn child. Now what happens when millions of unwanted kids are born? Human suffering goes up exponentially - not just for the kids, but their future victims.
Simply keep the state out of it, and shame pregnant women into compliance, if that’s what you feel like spending time on.

I can accept a state making abortions legal up until viability. Anything beyond that point is too far.
The State cannot ‘make things legal’. It only makes things ‘illegal’.
The states have already made killing of another human being illegal. For abortions to be legal you have to make exceptions to the legality of killing a human being. Therefore you have to make it legal, not illegal.

No you just have to agree on a definition of “human being”. Then existing law covers the issue.

So exactly what I said. Freedom is not a do whatever the fuck you want card.
You sound like a lefty shill throwing out the "unwanted kids" argument after someone says they oppose late term abortions. The vast majority will compromise on something within the first trimester.

The vast majority won’t try to abort a kid at 9 months.
Stop begging for state overreach.

I provided a link to my anti-abortion argument. In fact, laws ARE required to prevent murder or people WILL murder. I know I would.

What is the current legal definition of a human being?

If you ask the government, it’s anyone with a social security number. Historically, it’s any live-born human. Philosophically, who the fuck knows.

Certain states are already no-go zones for me. CA, OR, WA, NY, IL, MN.
Some states are friendly to conservatives, but I still don't want to live there. WY and IA are good examples.
Other states have no-go zones, but as long as you stay out of those areas they would be good places to live. WI is a good example. Stay away from Milwaukee, Madison, and any college towns. The rest is solid red.
One of my greatest concerns is ending up in a situation where the Commies aren't occupying your area, but have enough control over things to make things miserable for you. The Feds are going to try and poke every single citizen in the eyes, even if they live in a deep red area.
Add MA, RI, and might start thinking of adding SC. Not sure about it, but fucking hell I've seen some stupid come from there lately.
You need to flee MA, we’ve been telling you that for a long time.
I just got a new job. Been unemployed for 18 months. Rebuilding again. Not exactly a great time to move either. At least not yet.
