+1 good post. Logically at some point you'd think someone would ask how they will pay for it.
Check out the negative space
Not one American flag, not even a lapel pin.
The bunting on the White House there.
Well, next time you hear the national anthem, put your hand over your heart, turn and face some bunting.
LOL
There had to be a flag somewhere at the end of the stage. They did the National Anthem didn't they? If they are gonna talk socialism, give away free shit to people breaking our laws and cheerlead for Bashar Al Assad and the Ayatollah of Iran, I'd rather they didn't use the flag of a country they hate.

Here's the anthem chorus they were singing last night
Sing to the Motherland, home of the free,
Bulwark of people, in brotherhood strong!
Oh! Party of Lenin! The strength of the people.
To Communism's triumph lead us on!
Through tempests the sun rays of freedom have cheered us
Along the new path where great Lenin did lead!
To a righteous cause he raised up the people
Inspired them to labour and valorous deed!
Chorus
In the victory of Communism's deathless ideal,
We see the future of our dear land
And to her fluttering scarlet banner,
Selflessly true, we always shall stand!

So Bernie Campaign song.
Fuck those lyrics but God damn Russians can sell anything with an orchestral piece.
The Irish Churro Bobby O'Rourke actually had an idea that I really, really like.
WAR TAX
Beto O’Rourke on Monday called for Congress to enact a “war tax” any time the country goes to war, with the proceeds going to care for veterans of the conflict...….
The tax O’Rourke proposes for each new war would range from $25 for taxpayers with adjusted gross incomes below $30,000 to $1,000 for taxpayers making more than $200,000 a year. The tax would only be levied on households without military members or veterans. https://www.politico.com/story/2019/06/ ... ax-1377516
He's way light on the cost estimate, it would probably be $1000 in the low income bracket. But I love this shit. Service Members would be exempt from the Tax.
Dont fall for this trap. A tax or fee has been proposed or levied with every war then the war ends and the tax never fucking ends. We are paying a phone tax from the Spanish American war. The definition of Veteran or military is going to get abused. A bunch of rich white liberals are going to go to Africa, dig some irrigation ditches, take some pictures with black children with that halo glow and that shit is going be fawned over by people like dirty dick and they will be exempt. You know it, I know it.

People who cannot ever be a threat to the rest of us should theoretically not possess a vote for anything. No war tax needed.
The purpose of a democracy is to diffuse the oppositional violence in the aftermath of a political decision. The winners have to take into consideration that the losers of the vote could always organize into a war and fight them, so they are restrained in how far they can take their political capital. People who cannot and do not fight are not factors in the fundamental premise of democracy and arguably ought not have a vote unless they once were in the warrior class.
America was founded like this. Only landed men could vote, which was another way of saying you had to be in the militia to vote.

I hear ya. My point is that people need to have a cost associated to them personally on going to war. Because so few serve, 90% of the families in America never have a dog in the fight. That's why we have 18 year old wars. If the average voter had to thousands of dollars a year for war payments, they would be more vocal in asking questions as to what fucking exactly is the average American getting out of the war for the taxes they are paying.

Never be so sure about that. Once the tax is levied the money is gone there is no rebate. People will want results, sunk cost fallacy, now people do have skin in the game but it's only money. The establishment and elite already throw around a lot of money to make others sacrifice blood, sweat and tears. Increasing the price on one side of the equation is simply going to increase the sacrifice on the other side of the equation.
