If I heard that right, it sounded like Crowder said they're doing a show at Texas A&M in April.

That would be sweet.

There's a misinterpretation of Curtis LeMay's ethos in there, Curtis LeMay ran as a Vice Presidential Candidate for the American Independent Party, which was a far right states rights party, bombing the Japanese into the stone age was one thing, bombing the States Militias into the stone age, Curtis LeMay would never have done, he would have sided with the States.

Curtis LeMay was old school, for the enemies of the republic, the Terrible Swift Sword, but in defense of states rights not agin em'

Villainizing Curtis LeMay as some sort of bogey is leftist dogma, Curtis LeMay was a great American, and actually quite a jolly good fellow, not at all the monster the peaceniks made him out to be.

Here he is in 1985 being interviewed, and you can see for yourself, he ain't the Devil incarnate, he was a hard line anti-Communist prepared to go to a shooting war with them as necessary, and rightly so, but only as necessary, otherwise, deterrence; Peace Through Strength.

There's also this if you'd like to read about LeMay's view of things during the Vietnam era;

http://www.afhistory.af.mil/Portals/64/ ... 3140589138

Hardly a lunatic or whatever, he just wasn't down for the whole fighting the war with one arm tied behind the back idea, and instead he wanted to pound the shit out of them to bring the war to a close more quickly, which was pretty much the LeMay doctrine, don't pussy foot about, because that just prolongs the war and gets more Americans killed in the end by doing so.

More enemy killed, less Americans killed, shorter merciless wars for the win. Trying to be softie woftie about things didn't work, that just killed less enemy, and more Americans, by taking much longer with more boots on the ground.

Trying to make war more civilized was a fool's errand to LeMay, all that matters is winning, sooner rather than later, the sooner you win, the sooner the war is over, and thus the sooner people will stop getting killed, that's how you save people, you're not going to save anybody in a war without end.

For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.
