The moral imperative here is incredibly simple. Nothing great was ever accomplished by taking the easy way.
And when they're not longer refugees, then...yes, they of course should get shipped back. Emphasis on refugees...not simply immigrants. The moral imperative is fulfilled by giving them refuge. As soon as it's no longer needed, AND if they haven't proven any ability to contribute to society, they should of course be returned to their home countries.
