i expect trump to win but there will be a massive vacuum come 2024. republicans will be aimless and confused just like democrats are now without obama
I don't think you'll see the vacuum, with every democrat trying to take down Trump, when the reality of this hits home and they fall on their own swords in the attempt, they are going to leave a massive vacuum of their own.

2024 will be the year the Republicans rule the roost because after Trump becomes president for a second term, he won't have the worry of trying for a third time and the gloves will come off.

nah i think trump is a phenomenon all to himself. i dont expect the R base to be riled up for mike pence in 2024, same way the D base isnt riled up for biden in 2020.

if the rock or oprah or one of these big league democrats actually wants to be president, theyll wait until 2024 when the field will be weak. no sense in trying to beat trump when you can kick it for a few years and crush pence, or whatever status quo boomer the republicans run with

unless its kanye or something crazy in which case all bets are off

The Republicans won't need a strong candidate like Trump.

If the current DNC are any indication, they have TDS and on 2024, they won't know how to let it go.

Which will destroy them if the economy, etc. are all going strong for eight years.

This will be a Reagan/Bush all over again.

If the SCOTUS is 6 to 3 for the conservatives by 2024, it won't matter if the Democrats win

They won't get their agenda passed without the SCOTUS, legislation is made by the judiciary now,

The pols pass unconstitutional stupid shit for their stupid bases, the SCOTUS shoots it down,

its all good guys i get it, you're repeating what you see online, rabbling about trannies and commies and tranny commies. trannies dont have kids, you see? trannies are everywhere in america, i see articles and memes about them on the internet all the time! therefore the democratic base is dead, lolz

in reality nuke and speaker are right, dems are breeding like cockroaches and we're only importing more. its only a matter of time
Except the birthrate completely refutes that, it's actually the republicans that are breeding like cockroaches, while the Democrats are below replacement. Nice try.

Do you really want it to become a legislative from the bench though?

It's not me, that's how it is happening by default.

With hyper polarization now, Red Team v. Blue Team, it's a stalemate.

There's no common ground, there's no goodwill, there's no basis for negotiation.

Both sides simply reserve the other sides legislation when they win the election,

So everything is decided by the SCOTUS in the end, by default.

Over the longer term, this is not necessarily a bad thing.

Separation of Powers in action, just like it's supposed to work.

Because they can't agree on anything, the Legislators have taken themselves out of the game.

They are forcing the SCOTUS to decide things for them

They throw unconstitutional bad legislation at the SCOTUS, the SCOTUS does its job and shoots that down.

Eventually, the only way to get your agenda passed ; is to write laws which are constitutional
