Never made sense in the first place, which leaves us to wonder what the fucking point was.
Colorado and the Democrats tried to say Section 3 was enforceable by the states, but it's not. The Government couldn't provide anything showing that a state had in the past ever kept someone off the federal election, they did show on the state level, but the whole point of this was that the Colorado SC said that Colorado could do it.

It went to the SCTOUS to reverse it, because with that requirement about 35 states were attempting the same thing. Now that this has been reversed, no state can do it again.

The reason they went into such depth instead of making it a 5-page ruling is that they wanted to make it perfectly clear, that there is no way to get around this, the state can not override federal constitutional election law, even if they think they should be able to.

Sort of like telling the woke out there, your feelings don't matter.
What constitutional statute has ever been enforced by a state in the first place?
1st and 2nd Amendment, 5th, 13th, 15th, and what lies within each I guess...

9-0 ruling BTW.

"This case raises the question whether the States, in addition to Congress, may also enforce Section 3. We conclude that States may disqualify persons holding or attempting to hold state office. But States have no power under the Constitution to enforce Section 3 with respect to federal of- fices, especially the Presidency."

In English, Trump cannot be taken off the ballot by the state, period.

The Copium is free flowing today.

Pretty solid case for Trump as the ‘heel’ in a mega psyop. I didn’t really take the idea seriously until now.

Trump isn't an intentional psyop, he is just kind of incompetent, and the psyop people used that to their advantage.

Equally possible. But they’d have had to play him like a fiddle to get all those insiders appointed. Just doesn’t make a ton of sense..

The argument about his lawyers struck a chord too. How the fuck does he end up at that four seasons towing joint?

I trust my judgment of people that Trump is real, but I don’t trust his judgment of people.

Consider:

His main selling point initially was success as a real estate developer and eventually a silly tv host - in which he’s picking people to run his businesses. To the point that he made billions of dollars.

Knowing that he never picked up a hammer, his only real skills would be negotiation and picking the right people.

How could that skill so completely fail as soon as he became POTUS?

He dealt his whole life with real people who admired him; politics is phony people who despised him. He didn’t know.

This is actually the more curious thing about this experiment. What would he be able to do now that he knows who the real adversaries are?

Is Schift a centrist in California only?

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics ... r-BB1jtiQr
Katie Porter has claimed that California's Senate primary race was "rigged" after she lost a vote on Wednesday.

Porter, a progressive Democrat, came third in the non-partisan primary, losing out to Adam Schiff,a centrist Democrat who has been vocal in his support for Israel.
