God forbid people realize that globalist shitbaggery isn’t actually a good thing.

The Front National is clearly right wing.TheReal_ND wrote: ↑Sat Dec 08, 2018 5:01 pmLe Penn is leftwing by anyones standards. Being pro immigration is not left wing.
Are you claiming she is left wing because she threw her own father out of the party for being too racist and anti-semitic?
Your second claim is even more curious coming from you, is that a misprint?

I dont really know the way right/left works in Europe but she is far left by our standards on economic policy. As for immigration Democrats originally were for labor and limiting immigration. Republicans traditionally were involved in swamping labor with immigrants for various reasons, up to and including fighting the South in the civil war and manning their factories. Republicans believed a lot lot of things but originally they never believed in limiting immigration. It is only recently the parties flipped on that issue but any true left winger will be pro labor and should logically be against mass migration while Republicans are only against immigration in name only in order to garner the white vote that they rely on while simultaneously being directly involved in benefiting from illegal immigration to man their farms, ranches, tobacco plantations and many many other things.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Sat Dec 08, 2018 5:54 pmThe Front National is clearly right wing.TheReal_ND wrote: ↑Sat Dec 08, 2018 5:01 pmLe Penn is leftwing by anyones standards. Question is whether the Yellow Vests can hold out longer than the Globalist politicians can hide for...what's the trigger for unseating Marcon?

Unseating seems unlikely to me. The total costs of the riots have exceeded 30 billion. Do note, that is not in damages alone. The bulk of the economic costs come from the rural areas shutting down refineries and highways for weeks. This is compounded by it being the holiday season. Also, if France has widespread power outages, this will exacerbate the state's position immensely. Another large portion of the costs to the French government are in the form of transporting police. Today, Macron flooded Paris with practically every single officer in France. The costs generated by this alone are around 12 million according to what I've heard. Macron cannot keep this up.
The French people have no intention of stopping from what I have gleaned. They demand a massive amount of subsidies for the middle class. They are not one bit concerned with the gas tax, this seems to be only the straw that broke the camels back. The gas tax has already been delayed because of their actions but escalations are still mounting as of today. They are expected to riot tmrw as well.
I am unsure what the endgame is but the likelyhood of this boiling in to civil war is not insignificant. Euromaiden only took three weeks and we are nearly there in France. Of course France has the stability of the Euro which could outlast any riots. Possibly.

A motion of a vote of no confidence.
Left-wing politicians are said to be considering it.
The resultant election is likely to make Jean-Luc Melenchon the new PM.
This will lead to tax breaks for businesses and the rich being scrapped and welfare spending increases.
Probably won't help their declining economy but it will stop the rioting for now.
Anyone tired of winning yet?

gilets jaunes Édouard Louis writes, they're just standing up for their rights

One of France’s most brilliant young novelists, Édouard Louis’s work emphasizes the daily humiliations and petty brutality of life in small-town France. A critic of the Emmanuel Macron’s government, he has been a vocal supporter of the “gilets jaunes” or “yellow vests” protests which have swept across the country in recent weeks, sparked by a row over rising fuel prices. In particular, the writer has combatted media attempts to smear the participants as “country bumpkins” or stupid opponents of progress. In this text, originally published on Les Inrockuptibles, Louis proclaims that “those who insult the gilets jaunes are insulting people like my father.”
Right from the start of this movement we have seen “experts” and “politicians” in the media belittling, condemning, and mocking the gilets jaunes and the revolt that they embody. I saw the words “barbarians,” “idiots,” “yokels,” “irresponsible” spread across social networks. The media spoke of the gilets jaunes’ “grunting”: for them, the popular classes do not revolt, but instead grunt like farm animals.

Let me just say, I hope France collapses and leaves the EU, but that won't happen sadly. But more to the point, I have a lot of trouble supporting these types of movements in foreign countries, because even though we are reading stuff online, these mass protests are never monolithic. There are never a single group with an identical idea. In the Arab Spring, there were leftists, even communists, that allied with the koran thumpers. The same thing happened in the Iranian revolution. They had a common goal before the revolution (to get rid of the leader), but after the fact, it led to one group winning power and then destroying the other group. Morsi won for awhile after the Arab spring until the coup, and the leftists got driven out, which also happened in Iran. Be very careful supporting foreign activists, because they are not who you think they are.
Also, many times these foreigners will attempt to gain sympathy from other countries and Americans. In Tahrir Square, the protestors held up signs saying: "We Love America! We are your friends!" It turns out many of them couldn't even speak English and they were just manipulating us. Remember Libya? This makes me very leery of any mass movement I see on tv, especially a Middle Eastern one which is filled to the brim with rapists, and terrorists who would slit your throat if you ever visited their sewer country.
Is Macron a lowlife and a coward? Yes. Should France leave the EU and hopefully crash its economy? Yes. Do I hope this unrest spreads to other Euro countries and causes an economic collapse there? More than anything. But I'm not going to hold my breath. I'm glad the French govt is having a hard time, but they will take the wrong message from this if anything.
