Is it the US standing up to evil Chinese ethnic cleansing and punishing countries who solve their social problems by sticking their people in concentration camps?

Or is it simply a cynical way for the US to put a stop to Chinese competition?
Both.

I'm inclined to believe it's only the last option. The concentration camps have been getting some amount of attention in several forms of media lately, but no one's stopped doing business with China over it because of it. Even this latest move by the US secretary of trade is quite mild.

Still, it's nice to see China "punished" in even such a small way, for something we used to bomb Serbia for in 90's.

It's a two birds with one stone move, one bird may be more important to nail than the other, but it's still both, not one or the other.

Fair enough. It's a good move in any case.

Exposing SJW hypocrites is the best. A bunch of liberal sports journalists defending the Chinese government because of US mass shootings is the best. Watching orange shoe company scream Orange man bad but grovel to the Chinese and lead ESPN and the NBA by the dick is the best.

The backpedaling here is delicious.

The Chinese are losing face too, the NBA desperately pulling their shit down off the buildings.
