All you've done is scream about a demographic winter which is being caused by everyone but you and how we're all immoral because of it except you. That's good and fine, you and the redpillmgtow lunatics can have at it, just leave your ban hammer at home, and we'll be cool.

Type 2 is another disease that has genetic and psychological components. Maybe metabolic syndrome is a better analogy. Either way, we don't approach it from just the psychological side. If we can find out the genetic origin of the disorder, that would be a pretty big part of solving the problem. It's not a liberal or conservative issue. Some people can overeat and not get sick. Some people gorge and have huge difficulty controlling the urge. Some people don't eat much and still get sick. Some people can take or leave alcohol. Some people use once and the desire consumes them - something in their brain gets turned on.

There is clearly a genetic component to this, and I don't see why we can't approach these disorders from the medical end and with psychological help and social support. Just one of the three is more likely to fail.

LOL

The only one doing the equivalent of "screaming" here is you, cupcake. I am presenting you with the harm inflicted by these immoral behaviors you wish to pretend like are not immoral.

If they weren't immoral, they wouldn't cause all these problems for individuals and for society.

The demographic winter is the direct consequence of the sexual liberation you are defending as some self-evident good. By the middle of this century, the welfare state as we know it will be defunct. We will have lost so much human capital that technological innovation will slow to a virtual standstill. Most of our innovation is coming from white and Asian men in their thirties and forties, and of those two demographics, you are talking about a relatively small percentage of those demographics. What do you think is going to happen when that number is less than a quarter of what we have today?

There are consequences to these things you choose to ignore because you want very much to pursue base desires. So you pretend like the negative consequences don't exist, or they are somebody else's problem, or we should just ignore them. But no matter what we do, we all have to pay the costs for these things.

When you pretend like something immoral isn't immoral, you create a basis for people to argue that they need legal protections for that behavior, and legal and social punishments for those who still choose to call it what it is (immoral). That's authoritarianism. You get even more authoritarianism as a result of the government having to mitigate all the costs. Your sexual liberation created a HUGE number of single mothers who are raising criminals and drug addicts all over the United States right now. That means more cops. More laws. Stricter gun controls. There is a direct line between what you engage in and this authoritarianism creeping across the West today. This act of pretending that immoral acts are not immoral is like feeding the magui after midnight. That's how you get the gremlins.

All I am saying is that you shouldn't feed the magui after midnight. Just stop calling immoral behavior anything but what it is. You shouldn't be fornicating outside of marriage. That doesn't mean I want to criminalize it, but I do not want to normalize it. You shouldn't be using narcotics. You shouldn't be be pounding another man in the ass, or getting another man's cock balls-deep inside your rectum. That doesn't mean I want to criminalize it. I just don't want to pretend like this shit is okay, which encourages more of it and then creates an authoritarian state to protect it, which evaporates our human rights and freedoms.

Does anyone read all of that? If you don't want to ban anything, then you have agreed with me from the very beginning. You just want to moralize, nobody is interested in that.

You don't even have an argument. You just keep straw manning about a fucking nanny state when it is YOU who keep feeding the fucking nanny state by pretending immoral behavior is not immoral.

I do NOT agree with you. I do NOT agree with pretending that immoral behavior is not immoral. That shit is really dangerous. That's why we are here today with our society falling apart.

If you would read what I post instead of posting nonsense and straw men, then you'd understand where I am coming from.

The problem is people like YOU pretending like immoral behavior is actually moral. That's how you get the nanny state. That's how you get the authoritarianism.

Fucking cut it out already.

Why do you personally believe what you do? I can only really get your intent, if you tell me your intent. I could guess at it all day through my own lens but that might provide something rather biased and not tell things from your perspective.

What do you believe, and why do you believe it? What are you trying to do? Why are you trying to do that?

What do you want?

Thank you for all of your responses.

(I'll post my beliefs later on, so as not to taint the initial discussion.)
So are you going to post your beleifs? I think everyone here already knows mine so I wont bother elaborating on it.
I'm pretty liberal. More liberal than most.

I'm very pro-environmentalist. Say we found oil in one of our national parks, or even federal land. Unless there is an existential threat, we should leave it alone. We should preserve our wild places so that people get to experience them in the future.

I'm pro-capitalist to a point. Capitalism is much like fire, an amazing resource if properly controlled. We should not do capitalism for the sake of capitalism, just as we should not feed fire just for its sake. Capitalism is only as useful as it is useful to the people, is it serving the general welfare of the people? If not then well we have issues. If 99% of people are being fucked over by by a system, and 1% are prosperous, even if no rights are being violated, then that system is bad. It is about what is best for the people, what is best for communities.

Was listening to a group of atheists talk about this once, and they were asked, if you could choose whether religion exists or doesn't exist, what would you choose? (not making a statement on the means) I would choose that it does exist. Religion is a powerful incentive to do good, even if it's a lie. Threaten someone with eternal damnation if they step out of line, as in literal pain for the rest of eternity, that never ends, then they tend to act better, or at the very least pause before they do something bad. A lot of the "sins" in religion are aimed keeping communities intact, and right now, what's a good replacement for religion? What keeps our communities together instead of what we have right now, which is a lot of loneliness an isolationism?

Moving on, there are some unhealthy things that go on, that still must be allowed. The principled stance is to let someone be a Nazi, and not tell them they can't. The laws should be equal for all, and stuff like freedom of speech protect those that don't have power much more than they do those that have power.

I don't take kindly to other people moralizing and legislating on my behalf, such as people tend to do. I'm not gay, but first, the government shouldn't even be involved in marriage, and two, fuck off with Christians telling gay people that they can't get married. That's pushing your beliefs on others.

What's my intent on MHF? Put forth my ideas on how to make the world a better place and have them challenged. My intent in my beliefs is to make the world a better place, just like everyone else.
