Didn't actually have a good opening, Last Jedi was sucking everything up into a vortex, Jumanji was getting killed, but then on Friday something happened, Star Wars collapsed, and Jumanji went through the roof.

I think he's a lot greater than Arnold. Arnold was overhyped, honestly. Lou Ferrigno was the greater body builder. There were lots of better action stars in the 80s. Most of Arnold's films were pretty dumb (we just constantly think of the few really great exceptional films). As a politician he was garbage. He knocked up a fucking maid and his empire collapsed. Now he is selling shitty phone apps in Japan.

I don't know that Johnson would make a good leader, but we all know he would crush any other opponent in a presidential election right now. He could fuck it up in the first term like Trump is doing and lose four years later, though.

I actually disagree with the part "all that matters is how much money you net."

You would think that's the case but I suspect it's actually secondary to pushing the narrative in many cases.

For example, the new Ocean's Eleven featuring an all female cast. Surely they know this will tank after ghost busters but no, it's more important to get the narrative out.

This is what establishment liberals have learned long ago. They will eat money to push their propaganda and achieve there ends. I've seen someone else like maybe Hash talk about it.

The narrative pushing seems to be running into a wall, the fanbois got the word out that SJW Wars was meh, the parents took their kids to see the Rock instead. Star Wars is the biggest gun of them all, it's supposed to crush everything in its path, but it's not actually, it will make big money, but the trajectory is suddenly that it's not going to make as much as it was supposed to. It's all about expectations, Last Jedi takes a big spill before the second week, that is getting noticed, no doubt.

They could even be rejigging the script for SW IX right now; whoops, messed with the formula, bad idea.
