When you played hockey on frozen lakes, did you ever see fish beneath the ice? Did you ever have anyone fall through?
Nah, you wait till winter gets going in earnest, so it's frozen solid, and you're not looking down, that's how you get clobbered; keep your head up when you play hockey. Even if you're not playing full contact, incidental contact can still knock you the fuck out.

The hardest hit in hockey is actually the accidental one, two guys in the trolley tracks; boom.

The worst I ever got knocked out in my whole life was playing shinny on a lake, no helmet, just turned into another guy, trolley tracks, and it was like a car accident, my head hit the ice, and I was out, and when I came to, I was fucked up, I was throwing up after, like post concussion syndrome.
I haven't seen much hockey, but it is quite thrilling to watch. Talk about contact sports. I played a little street hockey in middle school, but I was never any good. I can barely ice skate, so I never even tried ice hockey. The worst injury I ever got was a bruised ass from running into a guy in my cul de sac when we both skating for the puck. Still got all my teeth though.
My dad put me on skates when I was three, so I'm a pretty good skater, but there's always someone better, in Canada, my little brother is a phenomenal skater, skates like a pro.

I went ice skating with my best friends and his cousins. I fell on my ass multiple times, but it worked out great because his cousin was hot as fuck, and she couldn't skate either. What ended up happening is we both gripped the rails and cautiously skated around the edge of the rink, but she kept pressing against me, and pressing her voluptuous tits against my arm. Absolutely glorious. I had a nice hockey rink erection going on, but I was closest to the wall, so no one called me on it. My sister used to ice skate every week in elementary, but I never learned.

It's not hard to skate, but when you see guy's like my brother, that's a whole nother level, he didn't have the all round game to make the pros, but he does skate just like an NHL player, and you just wonder what it would be like to be able to skate like that.

It is always crazy when I see these pro skaters or hockey players stopping on a dime. I will never have that kind of control in anything. It is a bit humbling to watch someone who is amazing at anything, be it rock paper scissors, hockey, public speaking, whatever.

Smitty, are you an insomniac? I am. I gotta work tomorrow and I can't sleep to save my fucking life. You are one timezone behind me I think, but I've noticed you generally post at early hours in the morning.

My brother skates effortlessly, perfect technique, and he just flies around like it ain't no thing, he can skate backwards faster than I can skate forwards, playing hockey, he just toys with me out there.

I'd say more of a nighthawk than an insomniac, because I do sleep, I don't have any trouble sleeping, I just go on a night shift schedule, Recce owns the night.

Can your brother do figure eights, fast spins, or any Olympic style moves?

Well he could, he's a natural talent, he could do anything on skates if he decided to, but he's not really into figure skating.

He's not a pro, but he is an elite mens league player, so he's all hockey all the time.

I have water skied twice. It is pretty hard to get positioned in the water while you are waiting for the boat to pull you. I would like to try cold weather skiing, but knowing my luck I would probably break my fucking neck going down the mountain. Have you ever skied?
