“The growth in mobile news consumption has been driven by older adults and those with lower incomes,”

Because it becomes much simpler to gaslight a huge portion of people who don’t have he mental capacity to consume news objectively.

CNN is the most visited news website and that’s because IPhones push their news stories.
“I've got a phone that allows me to convene Americans from every walk of life, nonprofits, businesses, the private sector, universities to try to bring more and more Americans together around what I think is a unifying theme..." - Obama

When you take out viewing from Commercial marketing like that and airports, there's not many people that actually go to CNN as a predetermined choice.

“CNN is blaming Apple for a bug that seemingly caused Apple News users to receive multiples of the same push notification for a CNN story. The story in question is a CNN report about the firing of the worker who triggered the false ballistic missile alert in Hawaii earlier this month.“

This is my third iPhone, and it’s never pushed a CNN story to me. Don’t know what you’re talking about.

But it does sound like you’re making a case that news should be censored from idiots.

MSM news is specifically engineered for idiots. That’s their target demographic now.
