If you want to build a pipeline across our nation, then you should make it worth our while. This is our territory.
Rail is more dangerous and obviously so. It cuts into our bottom line and your environment, you are fucking yourselves over too by holding it up. It's already worth your while and after negotiations with Trump, it will be even more worth your while.
Bullshit.
Each car is a contained unit. If one car leaks, we only have to cleanup what that one car contained. Even if an entire train derails, the mess is limited to however many cars punctured in the wreck.
When a large pipeline breaks, it's a huge fucking disaster. When that happens, Canada isn't going to open their coffers to pay for cleanup. Canada doesn't have to face the environmental consequences.
We already dealt with this with BP and what they did to our Gulf Coast communities.
If you want to use our territory and resources to further your nation's economy, then you should make it worth our while, including matching the risk we face with ongoing rewards. Otherwise, run the pipeline to New Brunswick or to Vancouver.
