Of course, it's their boy Trump- but Obama is secret Muslims that must be stopped at all costs. I mean Obama didn't even appoint anyone to Judge Scalia's chair when he died because the Rs were up in arms about him appoint someone to the chair, 12-14 months prior to the election day. Now that they have the ball in their court they are not going to review Trump's picks with as much scrutiny as they did with Obama's because, political loyalty and all. I mean the Trump supporters of this board were the ones who tended to be up in arms about Obama over everything- I mean everything. Now that Trump has basically said, "you know what nepotism isn't that bad, maybe I should appoint my son-in-law as my advisor- you know that guy that was supposed to help run my businesses when I am President." Pretty much everything Trump as said and done has gotten a carte blanche pass here by them.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/pos ... r-adviser/Some ethics experts question whether a Kushner's appointment would violate the 1967 federal anti-nepotism statute, which came about after President John F. Kennedy named his brother as attorney general. It forbids public officials from hiring family members in agencies or offices they oversee, and explicitly lists sons-in-law as prohibited employees.
Richard Painter and Norman Eisen, who served as chief White House ethics lawyers under Presidents George W. Bush and Obama, respectively, say they counseled senior White House officials to avoid appointing relatives to West Wing jobs.
Anyways, IMO, this is what the press should really honed in and report/investigate instead of Trump's tweets.

Lol so what? We have political families on both sides of the aisle already. Trump is appointing the best man for the job obviously. There's no there there yet just a bunch of liberal hand wringing as always. You'd think they could pick up a new act by now but nah.

Still not enthused about Sessions, but I'm seeing why his abrasiveness has merit from a certain perspective.

Meh, Sessions is a proxy war for them. They love his politics.Speaker to Animals wrote:Yeah, I like that these picks are getting their manginas in a twist. That's qualification enough. If the progs like the appointee, then I am against him.
Show me an appointee they truly fear and loathe, and I'm all-in. :goteam:
Teachers unions mount campaign against Betsy DeVos, Trump’s education pick
“Betsy DeVos is not qualified, and even more than unqualified, Betsy DeVos is an actual danger to students — especially our most vulnerable students,” said NEA President Lily Eskelsen Garcia. “She has made a career trying to destroy neighborhood public schools, the very cornerstone of what’s made our nation so strong.”
