What isn't?

They're largely atheists, and largely national socialists.

The racism is just icing on the cake.

You throw in with the godless socialists if you like. I'll pass.

^^^ That's not working. It's not even true.

You could potentially go after them for their antisemitism. Godlessness. Nope. Socialism. Nope. Dude, most of them came from the libertarian movement. Lots of them are Christian too.

What you are doing right now is what is making them stronger. Everybody just dismisses them, straw mans them, and makes these asinine claims and walks away. Meanwhile, they are amassing a huge following. I think it's much, much larger than you would think because of the social and economic costs for ever publicly supporting the Alt-Right. And I mean very much larger than you would think.

If nobody counters them logically, they are going to continue to grow.

You say that like I need a reason to oppose racists that I haven't found yet. Already got that taken care of.
The alt-right is a disparate movement with a variety of religious perspectives. However, one point on which almost all alt-right proponents agree is that — in their view — most forms of contemporary Christianity are corrupt, since they promote a universalistic, egalitarian vision of humanity spurned by the alt-right. However, there is no consensus in the alt-right about what should replace present forms of Christianity.

Some leading figures of the alt-right, such as Richard Spencer, are sympathetic with paganism. Others hope to reconstruct Christianity as a religion for the “white race.” Yet others promote pantheism; a 2015 article in the alt-right Radix Journal, for example, endorsed the “evolutionary pantheism” of the Polish intellectual, Jan Stachniuk.

So because Richard Spencer is an atheist, all of the Alt-Right is atheist. Got it. Yeah, you are not winning that argument any time soon, dude. Fallacy city.

Perhaps a more honest approach would be to acknowledge that there exists *some* merit to their ideas, but some of those ideas in particular are perversions of what really is needed (looking particularly at the antisemitism).

The problem I think is that most people want to oppose them on the points where they are at the highest moral ground (like opposing demographic replacement, pursuing the interests of white Americans no differently than every other racial demographic pursues their interests, etc). But because opposing those things really is logically indefensible, the only avenue left is this cowardly dismissal and straw manning which, quite honestly, only makes them stronger in a similar fashion to how those ridiculous anti-drug PSAs packed with lies only encouraged kids to use drugs.

If you really step back and think about it, quite a lot of Americans resonate with the pro-white aims of that movement. There's nothing wrong with looking out for our own interests. You certainly have no moral standing to condemn us for doing it while every other demographic is doing it without question. Think about the fact that the VAST majority of Americans oppose this open border policy, but few can *openly* express those opinions without losing their jobs. That kind of phenomenon is in effect, and the more lies people tell about the Alt-Right, the stronger those guys are going to get. Seriously. They are getting strong precisely because so many people lie about them, lazily, and don't even bother countering the arguments. This won't end well for you if you think the Alt-Right is some disastrous turn for the country. Because that very well could be the political future.

It's the same stupid identity politics trying to take advantage of the backlash again identity politics.

Then your problem is with the fact that humans possess various social and personal identities, which carry certain social and political interests inherent to the group of people who possess those identities, and they wish to organize politically towards those goals.

You have a wife and children. You obviously have father as an identity. Insomuch as fatherhood carries specific interests, you probably would support policies to further the interests of fathers. Likewise, you would want to protect families and pursue policies that strengthen rather than weaken them. That's an identity politic.

Most of the recent immigrant groups who came here from Latin America form their own identity politic. You are fooling yourself if you think they don't have their own interests unique to that identity group that are in direct opposition to the interests of most white Americans. White Americans don't have any interest, really, in open borders right now unless they are married to an immigrant and for whatever reason think they want the extended family all moved here on the public dime.

Blacks have their own self-interests that are almost never served in the American political system.

Men in general have interests that are rarely served because the government is constantly obsessing over the demands of women, who are largely looking out for the interests of the identity group known as women voters.

You may have joined the NRA because, as a gun owner, you belong to an identity group that seeks to protect their interests against a rival identity group that wishes to eradicate those interests.

Others may have joined a group like Sierra Club because they have a collective interest in conserving our wilderness areas, wildlife, and parks.

Small business owners are an identity group with their own lobbying group representing their interests.

Lawyers have their own interest group.

Doctors have their own interest group.

Blacks have NAACP.
Latinos have La Raza and other groups.

Whites.. oh no. That's evil socialism and just evil. Okay. Given that I am sure you belong to one interest group or another, act accordingly, even probably pay dues, it doesn't stand to reason that whites should not also look out for their self-interests here, and it's a bit hypocritical for anybody to deny identity group status to one group while belonging to other identity groups.
