Hell, the markets themselves facilitate specialized traders, market makers, who profit by just making any trade at all.
You said yourself - trading fees.

Also, Buffett has been insider trading and manipulating companies for decades. He’s not simply trading.

I don't know how else to break this to you. There exists a massive industry of traders who routinely beat the market. The big indexes suck. That is such a retarded metric for traders working on so much market information that most people don't get at thge same time.

By the time you read about some bad news in thge financial press, these guys already acted on it. Bet that.

You’re talking about front-running. That’s a very different thing, and blatantly impossible for “any idiot” to do.

Do soldiers in Denmark have a union?

Can they strike if you don't pay them enough?
They do, but they can't strike as that would legally count as insubordination. But they are part of collective bargaining agreements with their employer, and more importantly, unions in Denmark are almost all part of union confederations, that will include any other kind of union. Something of the same applies to doctors, while they can legally strike, they have to provide care for the sick and injured at all times. So the union confederation will mobilize on behalf of those professions who can't - or won't for ethical reasons- go on strike, but who still want someone to fight for their demands. For example, the Danish metal workers union, restaurant workers union and carpenters union, is part of the same union confederation as the union for conscripts and those below rank of officer.
