Someone looks like they either ate or smelled something bad.

Stop being a sexist ignoramus. You obviously have no idea about the subtle nuances of botoxed facial expressions.

We already know what happens when the Democrats have a Kennedy as part of a car wreck.clubgop wrote:We want to make jokes here but the undercover hacks won't respond to the genius that is the democrats putting a Kennedy in front of a car wreck? Come on people.

While Trump was in office, it decreased by one point — keeping up a trend that had already been in place.
The question you need to ask yourselves is *why*.
I suspect it's because most blacks are either in prison or on welfare (and thus not counted).. It's hardly as if their situation got any better in the democratic-controlled cities.

There are better options than renewable energy, there are better alternatives, settling for wind and solar at the moment makes little sense in most situations. There are more options than coal, wind and solar, so being ever so slightly better than one obvious energy boondoggle doesn't make the other energy boondoggles a good idea to subsidize. Perfect is the enemy of good, but bad is also the enemy of good, so settling for bad, not the wisest strategy in the world when the good is already available.Montegriffo wrote:What is it you repeat ad nausium on other subjects..StCapps wrote:Also there are better solutions than pretending green energy is more economically viable, safe, or environmentally friendly than it actually is.Hanarchy Montanarchy wrote:there are better solutions than pretending coal is more economically viable, safe, or environmentally friendly than it actually is.Renewable energy doesn't need to be perfect, it just needs to be better than coal.perfect is the enemy of good

Not inherently, but it often is a boondoggle, because solar and wind aren't ready for primetime, for the most part, the environmentalists just wish that they were, but wishful thinking doesn't make it so.Hanarchy Montanarchy wrote:New technologies are often subsidized because R&D is expensive, and not initially profitable. That isn't inherently a boondoggle.StCapps wrote:I don't want them propping up a bad industry with federal tax dollars, that's a poor use of taxpayer funds, whether it's Clean Coal, or Obama's green energy initiative. Subsidized energy boondoggle doesn't become desirable because it's a fossil fuel or green energy.
Throwing money at boondoggles in the name of R&D is as stupid as throwing money at boondoggles for any other noble reason, the road to hell is paved with good intentions, good intentions don't always equal good results.

Yeah it like the white elephant in the room, Instead of giving money to NK and Iran by the billions for nuclear "power" why don't we do the same?StCapps wrote:Not inherently, but it often is a boondoggle, because solar and wind aren't ready for primetime, for the most part, the environmentalists just wish that they were, but wishful thinking doesn't make it so.Hanarchy Montanarchy wrote:New technologies are often subsidized because R&D is expensive, and not initially profitable.
