Could double as mushroom pit / torture chamber quick readily
How do you know it isn't already? Have you looked behind the walls?
No walls. Old school Stone/something else combo, where they would frame a void, fill it with natural shit, and remove frame.
One area was without doubt used as a grow room, there is an ingenious ventilation system to pipe order out the top of my roof.

Yeah, mine is 108... and I am cleaning it out, I'm going to make it into my tinkering space, and possibly a Smithy if I can get the ventilation to work correctly.

Yup, I'm starting to clean out the basement now, it is a lot of work because the absentee landlord left everything a mess. The first thing I need to do is create an air filter system for down stairs and possibly work on rewiring the rooms because it looks like messed everything up down there.
I'm also going to have to hire a plumber to come down and re-plumb the entire basement, it looks like whoever did it last time went to Jr. Highschool and didn't know how to set up a basement properly. There are so many cables and pipes running around it looks like about $1000 worth of extra copper in the Plumber's and my future if this works out right.

Remember not to use jet fuel to melt your steel.

Actually, I was thinking about creating an induction coil for that. Otherwise, I was going to use propane.

Seriously tho, I wouldn't want that kind of heat in my basement. Sounds like a serious hazard. Also, probably breaks your insurance policy.

Oh shit. I just saw that. No, you can't turn your basement into a blacksmith shop. Jesus.
Your poor neighbors. They won't even know what hit them.
