Well my dogs do like to bask in the sun, and do look up some when they do, they don't so much look at the sun specifically, but they will cast their muzzles up towards the warmth of it, so I just kept them inside. They do squint towards the sun at times, if they're squinting, they're looking in its general direction, and in a partial solar eclispe, only takes a few seconds of that to burn yea. The danger is not that it is bright, the danger is that it is not bright, wherein you could look at the corona for much longer than you ever would be able to normally, it's the radiation that burns, but you don't actually feel it, there is no feel to the burn of an eclipse.

Should be safer than any other day for them to do so... It's only silly humans that take note of the sky.
SJWs are a natural consequence of corporatism.

They are unlikely to look towards the sun, that doesn't mean they never look in its direction even if they're looking at something else, it's a low risk, but they are at risk for eye damage, so I don't take any chances.

They could be just looking up at that squirrel in the tree, but right behind that, could be the corona, dimmed enough that they wouldn't look away as quick as they normally would.

We got tall trees, they're full of squirrels, my dogs track them squirrels like the doggie NSA, so they're actually scanning towards the skies a lot, and if that squirrel starts jumping back and forth in the shine of that corona, my dogs will keep trying to track it as much as they can. They'll be squinting and blinking, but once on a target, they still be trying to see it through the sun, and in doing so, they'll be looking at the sun by default.

My boxer does. Whenever she hears prop planes or the Army choppers, she stops and watches them. She watches birds too. I never really saw it before I got her, though.

Yeah, my dogs watch the birds too, they're bird dogs, and they're on a constant search for intruders, and food, so they keep an eye on them birds, never know when that thing up there might come down within striking distance, anything that moves quick, or makes a tasty sound, my dogs home in on that as much as they home in on scent. They don't pay attention to choppers tho, as that neither moves like nor sounds like an intruder nor food, but flappin' and sqawkin', they're on that like white on rice.

So these little cunts can't even enjoy the first total eclipse since WW1 without twisting into more anti-Trump hatred. Sad!

The other thing is, I run a dog boarding business here, premium, for people who don't want to use a kennel, so it's not just my dogs, I have guest dogs here as well, and I don't know what NASA said about it, but I did note that all the kennels and dog daycares round here announced that they would be keeping dogs inside during the eclipse, so I figured I'd just stay in line with that.

Not hatred. Ridicule.

Hatred is for Neo-Nazis, ridicule is for people with a sense of humour...
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.
