Well the Leftists are confirming that impression right now, so I can't really blame people for calling a spade a spade.
Don't worry. Once we nationalize the Internet over this Daily Stormer situation, we will be one big ol' step closer to... what's the phrase... immanentizing the eschaton.
I think when that sort of thing comes about, the shoe may be on the other foot, as Leftist totalitaranism often incites a Rightist cobelligerent, but the Rigthtists in America tend to be better at seizing control of the military and security arms, at which point the utopia will probably be something more like Militarized Evengelical Protestantism, as that seems to be the actually dominant strain in American society, so in the event of dueling totalitarianism, the one I would guess as being the ulitmate victor.

To wit, the Cultural Marxists dominate academia and the media, but if totalitarianism ever spreads to the military, police, and intelligence arms, I think it will probably be pretty right wing then. I don't think Weimarization would be good for Americans in general of course, but I do think the Right would win in the end, although I don't think they would be National Socialists per se, probably more like the Falange.

I don't think that 20th Century totalitarian ideologies do pose a threat to the US. But the rhetoric that totalitarianism is coming will be as loud as it has ever been. It's the eternal bugaboo for Americans, both of the left and the right. A different kind of threat of totalitarianism for the sides, of course.

Likely outcome is that US politics becomes such a slapstick farce and simply more tumultuous and in a way, that the system starts to look like more of a Latin America type political environment. So likely you will see fist fights on Capitol Hill in the future. What is lost is the total respect to the whole political system.

Because Trump may be a disaster as President, but he won the election with being outrageous. People will note that.

While Antifa members don't fit a single category, they say many are millennials and many live on society's fringes: undocumented immigrants, transgender people, low-wage workers, those who don't conform to the traditional 9-to-5.

And their methods are often violent. Antifa leaders admit they're willing to physically attack anyone who employs violence against them or who condones racism -- as long as force is used in the name of eradicating hatred.

Apple supports the Alt-Left

Team,
Like so many of you, equality is at the core of my beliefs and values. The events of the past several days have been deeply troubling for me, and I’ve heard from many people at Apple who are saddened, outraged or confused.

What occurred in Charlottesville has no place in our country. Hate is a cancer, and left unchecked it destroys everything in its path. Its scars last generations. History has taught us this time and time again, both in the United States and countries around the world.

We must not witness or permit such hate and bigotry in our country, and we must be unequivocal about it. This is not about the left or the right, conservative or liberal. It is about human decency and morality. I disagree with the president and others who believe that there is a moral equivalence between white supremacists and Nazis, and those who oppose them by standing up for human rights. Equating the two runs counter to our ideals as Americans.

Regardless of your political views, we must all stand together on this one point — that we are all equal. As a company, through our actions, our products and our voice, we will always work to ensure that everyone is treated equally and with respect.

I believe Apple has led by example, and we’re going to keep doing that. We have always welcomed people from every walk of life to our stores around the world and showed them that Apple is inclusive of everyone. We empower people to share their views and express themselves through our products.

In the wake of the tragic and repulsive events in Charlottesville, we are stepping up to help organizations who work to rid our country of hate. Apple will be making contributions of $1 million each to the Southern Poverty Law Center and the Anti-Defamation League. We will also match two-for-one our employees’ donations to these and several other human rights groups, between now and September 30.

In the coming days, iTunes will offer users an easy way to join us in directly supporting the work of the SPLC.

Dr. Martin Luther King said, “Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about the things that matter.” So, we will continue to speak up. These have been dark days, but I remain as optimistic as ever that the future is bright. Apple can and will play an important role in bringing about positive change.
Best, Tim

<< *But we must also recognize that on the internet, any tactic used now to silence neo-Nazis will soon be used against others, including people whose opinions we agree with.”

When asked what it’d take to silence The Daily Stormer, Andrew Auernheimer, one of its administrators, told The Washington Times: “a global empire headed by the white european race at the altar of which all kneel.”* >>

Good grief.

Charlottsville gave them the response that they wanted.

I need a term for "antagonizing a person or group to get a reaction, and then overreacting to the reaction".

The only one that comes to mind is "terrorism".
