That's why they call it public service. ;) Anyway, looks like you -(didn't know you were still active service, tbh) get back pay, anyway. If so many other Americans can deal with that, so can you, I'm sure.
I'm out. My wife's still in.

They shut down the government over illegals. You don't make deals with people like this, and you for damned sure don't tell your soldiers they have to deal with not being paid because democrats want a million new welfare voters.

Lol, of course Trump would never blame himself for something he claims it was the president's fault 5 years ago.
Wow, so much dumb.

As before, the Democrats refused to work with the Republicans. Obama didn’t tell the Democrats to do shit, so... it was the President’s fault.

Trump has told the Congress continuously to get their act together. The Democrats refuse to let anything pass to make Trump look good, including this. So why should Trump be held responsible for the partisans bullshit that is going through?

That being said, all of this bullshit rule making from the executive branch, such as DACA, does blur the line.
Can thank Obama for DACA in its current form.

USAA and Navy Federal filling the gap.
VIENNA, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Navy Federal Credit Union has announced a plan to cover direct deposit for eligible members as the government shutdown goes into effect on January 20. The credit union is offering assistance to Active Duty military, Coast Guard and DoD civilian members who have an established direct deposit with Navy Federal. Those members can opt in to a special program and receive coverage of their direct deposit of net pay if they’re affected.

USAA has announced the ways it will be able to help members if a government shutdown delays military or government pay. Please note up-front: every situation may be unique, and you may be in a special category that doesn't fit the mold.

Military Pay
If military pay is not paid on 1 February 2018, USAA is prepared to offer an interest-free payroll loan to eligible service members. If a resolution is not found as it nears 1 February 2018, an email explaining the program and terms will be sent to eligible members.

Trump had a bipartisan deal on his table a week ago. It had wall funding, CHIP funding, and something on DACA- which was something he literally told the Dems and the country he was willing to work on only a few months ago. THEN Trump did a 180 and rejected the bipartisan deal. Then some Republicans started to take things out of the deal, and now here we are- with our 19th government shutdown.

Notice she doesn't even realize she's admitting to political blackmail.

The immigration bill and the funding bill are two separate bills. Dems didn't get what they wanted on their first try, so they're throwing a tantrum until they get what they want, dragging down everything else with them.

My prediction, a day or two is all that's needed to let it sink in that dems are holding the nation hostage over welfare voters. Rand Paul and the other holdouts will reverse their votes and the budget will be passed as is. The only thing this will have accomplished is letting the American people see the dems are willing to shut down the country over illegals.

The optics on this aren't gonna go away for decades.

Awwww, poor pennpenn.

Got nothing to say?

Walked right into a trap, and now the whole world knows you're willing to burn down the house if you don't get your welfare voters.
Sensing that they have the upper hand, top House Republicans said they had ruled out negotiating on a major Democratic priority — immigration policy — until the shutdown ends.

“Senate Democrats shut down this government, and now Senate Democrats need to open this government back up,” House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wis.) said in a midday speech.

Ruh roh Shaggy,
Dave Joyce

@RepDaveJoyce
Great news! Our efforts to #ReleaseTheMemo have been effective and the HPSIC plans to begin the process to release the FBI/FISA/Russia memo. This may take up to 19+ Congressional work days but Americans deserve to know the truth.
