Heard the same shit twice on 2 Iraq invasions

And you know what? The Iraqi Republican Guard was actually elite. The North Koreans? Not so much.

Out of "1,000,000!!!" North Korean troops, how many are actually, trained, equipped, and ready for war?

That regime wouldn't trust a million man army, most of them don't even have guns.

If the public actually grasped how ramshakle the KPAF was, and how small the actual combat capable component was?

The only question then would be "why the hell would we let this pygmy threaten us with hydrogen bombs, when we could crush them like a bug?"

The North Koreans may be dangerous, because there's no internal restraint, and they are about to acquire operational hydrogen bombs, but in terms of the military infrastructure of the KPAF writ large? It's a Potemkim Village, there's no there there.

The only thing they have, is this nuclear weapons program, they've put all their eggs in this basket, the rest of their military, is a gong show.

If the KPAF actually tried to fight the US military, conventionally? It would be Highway of Death all over again, the war would be stopped because Americans wouldn't be able to stomach the sight of charred KPAF corpses littering the countryside.

The regime would be hard to kill, but its army, not so much, which is why it would never try to use its conventional army, for this regime, it's nukes or bust,

The United States of America, is going allow this Potemkin Village to put American cities under the nuclear knife, because it's afraid of the KPAF?

Part of this issue, I think, is Seoul. 35 miles from the DMZ. They have a huge chance of being nuked if shit goes any further south. While the potential death of almost 10 million people is horrific there is also the economic tidal wave that it would create. That might be the bigger political road block than the 10 million innocent lives in the cross hairs.
