Yeah, well, Carey Price and King Henrik are both shitting the bed right now, between the three of them, Connor is the hot hand.
That's true, but we have better backups than the Yanks, it's not the NHL playoffs, so Fleury is an option.
If was Team Canada, I would go with Braden Holtby right now tbh.
Well he is the least risky of the three.

2.79, .914, 28 W, with that dog park park defence in Washington, give him the ball to start, Price can go in if he drops it.

2018 USA Winter Olympics Men's Hockey Team, if the NHL players had showed:

Forwards:
Wheeler-Matthews-Gaudreau
Tkachuk-Eichel-Kane
Boeser-Trocheck-Kessel
Lee-Johnson-Larkin
Keller

Defense:
Suter-Carlson
Werenski-Jones
Fowler-McAvoy
Ghostisbehere

Goalie:
Hellebuyck
Quick
Demko

I would go with Schultz over the Ghost, and I would actually take Jake Guentzel over Keller, Babsian big game experience over flashy.

See, Team USA has had the right idea in terms of wanting some roll players on their teams, but they take the wrong roll players for International Ice, you don't bring Justin Abdelkader, he's too slow, but Guentzel is the kind of roll player they need, he's a warrior, he can play up and down the line up, he can kill penalties, or he could be on the power play, anybody goes down, Guentzel is a man for all seasons, and he is after all, a Stanley Cup champion, hand picked by Sidney Crosby to play on his wing.

Two possible exceptions, but Keller and Ghost are the more talented guys, so I'll stick with them, but I don't fault you for choosing the other guys given how they showed up in the playoffs last year during that Pens Cup run. Plus loading up on Pens could be good for chemistry.

We are actually just shooting the shit and are thinking out loud. If you want to talk Iraq and Syria, talk about it and if it's interesting we'll drop the hockey talk in this thread for a moment.

Keller started strong this year, but he's dropped off of late, he's gonna be great, but he's still just a kid, I think the Ghost is overrated, he's a good shooter, he racks up some points, but against the likes of Team Canada, he would get exposed in his own end.
