Always been this way by the way, back in the 1860's the Abolitionists and the Condeferates were in Canada, hiding out from each other, on third party territory, inciting Canadians to jump on their bandwagons both, Canada divided between Abolotionist and Confederate sympathizers, we had the Underground Railroad at the same time that the Confederate's had a semi-covert base of operations in downtown Toronto.

Before the Civil War the slaves were fleeing to Canada as a safe haven, after the Civil War the Confederates were fleeing to Canada as a safe haven, we've never been able to seal this border, whether that be Haitians right now, or maybe White Nationalists tommorow, never know, from Vietnam Draft Dodgers to Iraq War Backdraftees, all depends on who is fleeing America at any given moment.

Appropriate shapes are mandatory.
Clearly we need to get cracking on copyrighting all the appropriate shapes.
Ride this Chinese-syle Cultural Revolution all the way to the 1%ers club.
Bad shape! BAD

Jefferson Davis fled all the way to Montreal, they even put up a plaque in his honor, right on the old Hudson's Bay building, and it remained there undisturbed for 152 years, until last week, when Hudson's Bay pulled it down in a PCM induced panic.

Tru dat, cousin. Mind you, never was much of a Jefferson Davis fan meself, what honors extend to the Army of Northern Virginia and the Army of Tennesee, do not necessarily extend to Richmond in the end.

The greatness of Marse Robert, is that he is the American Napoleon, Jefferson Davis, not so much.

The fragility of Washington City redounded upon Old Virginny Richmond rather harshly, wouldn't you agree?

Maybe it was just that Washington City got the boot through the door trestle before the politicians in Richmond did; or maybe it was just a failure of diplomacy with England, France, et al by the confederate state. Who knows?

Indeed, to me, it really comes down to them thinking it was going to be a walkover, a police action and just mopping up in the end, they never accounted for Bobby Lee and Tom Jackson and things going all the way to Shiloh Church, and when it did, they went all the Rolling Thunder at the Golf of Tonkin.

Once it went to Rolling Thunder at the Gulf of Tonkin, neither the British Crown nor the French Republic, wanted any part of that.
