Outside the question of whether a brain dead person is alive, wasn't the child off life support? If so, he was dying and in a hospice situation.
Outside of the question?? What does brain dead even mean??
The child was alive. If you are dead, your body becomes a corpse. Hello? Are you this fucking gone?
We are our brains. Take the brain away and only the shell is left.

See, e.g., Alfie.
:goteam: :drunk:
Alfie came in with a cold. He caught something else, or the drugs they gave him caused this other issue (it was actually caused by the hospital). Now people are saying he was "brain dead", so fuck it, just inject him with poison and harvest.

Something happened that resulted in brain death. The poison part sounds like hysteria. Hospitals don't put humans down, mostly because humans can't give the dying the same consideration they give to their pets.

What do children have to do with living wills, again? Remind me.
Nothing. I was speaking of your apparent willingness to go on without one. Ghoulish, but to each his own.
What is "apparent" to the likes of you is enough to call me "Ghoulish?"
Asshole.
Fife in his cups is not as much fun.
A body kept alive without a brain is indeed ghoulish. The girl from jersey who was moved from the hospital to her mother's home is literally an animated corpse. She was declared legally dead. She looks like a corpse. People were asking why the laws against desecrating a corpse aren't being applied to this situation.
When is the line crossed between life support and death support?

When the kid lives long beyond expectations after being taken off life support, starved and then injected with a drug cocktail?

You mean yet he persisted? In the UK that is a hate crime.
