Why wouldn't Oprah wait until 2024? The Democrats might not want to wait, but their best options to beat Trump will probably want to wait and the Democrats can't force them to run in 2020 instead.
The Democrats, especially their loyal liberal followers (like Holloywood) have been losing their minds over Trump winning. They (the liberals, not the politicians) cannot wait until 2024. The Democrat politicians don't have anyone who probably wants to go up against Trump in 2020 and risk losing. They also don't have any really likable or charismatic potential candidates. This leaves the left with what they will see as their best chance to beat Trump.....a celebrity. Oprah is very popular and generally likable. If they can't convince here to run in 202 it will be someone else like Michelle Obama. Whomever it is, they will not be white and male, and will not be an established politician.

Michelle Obama gets steamrolled. The Democrats wanting a celebrity, doesn't mean they are going to get one in 2020. The Celebrity Democrat is better off waiting for 2024, and keeping their powder dry against incumbent Trump.

Oprah is not that likeable, and outside of a scripted venue, with a pandering friendly audience, whenever she wanders off script in a more TMZ like setting, she's high handed and imperious, and says all sorts of crazy shit.

She's a rich dingbat who lives in her own little world, she would get exposed as being that pretty quick, in a campaign setting.

Like, Bernie Sanders would mop the floor with her.

She's more likable than whoever the Democrats are likely to settle for in 2020 though, the bar isn't exactly set high by her potential competition in the Democrat party.

Oprah would give Trump a better run for his money than Warren, Biden, or some other long established DC shill.

She’d be a hit with women in the era of #meToo, a hit with SJWs for being black and female, and a hit with non-whites for being non-white.

That’s a lot of votes right there.
Hillary won the popular vote without the SJWs, consider Oprah getting the same (or better) turn out from women PLUS the SJWs.

I don't think she could win the primary, she would fall apart pretty early on, she's not politician material, she can't hold it together in a campaign venue. low energy. sad.

She can do a speech, to a friendly audience, but once it's not so friendly, Oprah would be exposed as being a lightweight who wasn't that likeable after all.

The Democrats are what the are, it's Andrew Cuomo-Cory Booker vs. Bernie Sanders-LIz Warren, they're not going to magically tarnsform into something else, in the next 36 months.

Which is why Trump has a good shot of splitting the left and coming up the middle again.
