Well for her and Barron sure, not for Donald Trump. This Donald Trump didn't want to win stuff, nonsense.Smitty-48 wrote:It's funny, because Melania is freaking out leading up to the election, and all the Trump advisers are telling her to relax, because Trump is not going to win, but Melania says; oh yes he is, and it's going to be a disaster.

Re: THE ERA OF TRUMP
According to the book, Trump is totally stunned when he wins, he was expecting to lose, and then the plan was he was going to claim that crooked Hillary stole the election and then he would be the martyr, so at first, he's panicking about the win, he's freaking out about it as much as Melania is.
But then he starts to come around, after he has some time to recover from the shock, he starts to get into it and says in effect; why not me? I'm awesome, I'll be the greatest President evah.

Not buying the "panicking at first, but then came around" nonsense. I buy that he was shocked he won, but happy shocked, not panic shocked. Being the martyr wasn't the better option, he wanted to win, he just didn't think he would.Smitty-48 wrote:According to the book, Trump is totally stunned when he wins, he was expecting to lose, and then the plan was he was going to claim that crooked Hillary stole the election and then he would be the martyr, so at first, he's panicking about the win, he's freaking out about it as much as Melania is.

You already said you don't buy it, you don't have to tell me every two seconds, I heard you the first thirty times.

Why do you buy it? How is being Mitt Romney better than being Donald Trump? You seem to really overrate the "martyr" angle. Just because the consolation prize would have been sweet doesn't mean it isn't still the consolation prize.Smitty-48 wrote:You already said you don't buy it, you don't have to tell me every two seconds, I heard you the first thirty times.

Even back in the long ago day, when elections were just as vicious personally as they are now, I don't think the attack on a president continued a year into office. Does anybody have an example?

I simply find it to be plausible, it's not like I don't know Trump, we've seen Trump in action for forty years, everything that is in the book, sounds exactly like Trump, down to a tee, and the plan to run and then lose, just to get the publicity, that's classic Trump, totally believable.

Trump wanting to win isn't believable? Sounds far more believable than lose for publicity, win for publicity is even better, derp, he obviously preferred the latter to the former, and he wouldn't take forever to come to that conclusion either.Smitty-48 wrote:I simply find it to be plausible, it's not like I don't know Trump, we've seen Trump in action for forty years, everything that is in the book, sounds exactly like Trump, down to a tee, and the plan to run and then lose, just to get the publicity, that's classic Trump, totally believable.
