What have we done in the past when a new technology drastically increased the amount of electricity used? Refrigerators, A/C, dryers, etc. all drastically increased the demand on the grid, the grid expanded and adapted. As more people come to the US the grid expanded and adapted. This isn't some unique circumstance. Really, if anything, the nature of these cars being battery based will make it easier for the grid to handle as charging the batteries does not have to be as on demand as an A/C unit.

There is a lot of research on different kinds of batteries. It's hard to say who will be first, but progress is being made, which is the point of the Tesla example. We can't predict and exact timetable, but it is only a matter of time.

You really need to stop with this doom and gloom over EVs. It is just a bunch of uniformed fear mongering. Change happens, you don't always need to be afraid of it.
Read what I have actually written, not the pre-recorded message you have in your head.

I'm not against change and progress. What I'm saying is that this is not happening naturally. It's being forced upon the masses by the few people in power in a way that is going to harm people much more than if it things were being done the right way.

Stop arguing against a point I'm not even making.
I'm arguing against the points you presented. If your point is different then you did a poor job of communicating that by focusing on other topics.

The one thing holding back EVs and local energy storage is the materials used for lithium batteries. Once they figure out an alternative using more abundant materials EVs and local energy storage won't have any limitations. There has been some good progress on that, and Tesla has already eliminated one of those materials from their batteries this year.
There's more than 1 thing holding back EVs. Infrastructure is the biggest. CA already has electrical grid issues during the summer. Add millions of EVs needing a daily charge and see what happens. Also, where are all the stations to charge if you are not at home? There are some, but not close to enough to support a surge in EV use.

All of that additional infrastructure comes at a cost. I have zero faith that will be done and paid for efficiently and effectively.

You say once they figure out an alternative to lithium there won't be any limitations. When will that be? How long before we have that widely available? We are staring down $10 gas by the end of summer. We have a New World Order determined to force everyone to EVs, ready or not. This is going to be a disastrously painful transition if we continue on the current path.

The US grid is designed with the 1980s in mind... that was the last time it was truly boosted in technology, there have been small bumps but because of the fucking NIMBY assholes out there, we have not seen a major bump in the electrical grid on a national level for over half a century now.

The democrats would have to make it worthwhile, but with them trying to destroy the US economy and forcing everyone to spend more people are not going to want an infrastructure bill to go through at these prices.

We would be spending over 10 of trillion over its lifespan instead of barely spending 10 to 15 trillion for what it should cost if we actually did it right. The cost would be countered by a fuck ton of blue-collar workers actually working a job that could start when they get into the field and retire when it ends... if it happens at the speed of natural government.

If we want to make it happen faster, sooner... well it could take 5 to 10 years to beef up our electrical grid correctly.

I actually did a practice run on this with a group of people in the field of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general construction, figuring out manpower needed and other things, and we came to the conclusion it could be done, but we would have to do the majority of the US such as towns and cities, but the large expansions where no one lives is where the real problem begins... the facilities needed to control an overflow, or a demand to control a boost of demand so we don't see like what happened in the NE when the Canadian/Michigan power plant collapsed every summer when the demand of power comes through the pipeline suddenly.

Other topics? The topic was always EVs. Not my fault you can't distinguish between different aspects of the same overall topic.

The point is we are not prepared to be forcibly launched into a mostly EV world, yet that's where the governments are pushing us. Not pushing us to improve battery life or infrastructure, they are pushing us to to a world that does not yet exist. Mandating things does not magically make that world any closer to reality.

How can you take these people seriously?.. Fuck, people try too hard to be “gender fluid” today...

This is the reason we need a Disinformation Board.

The emperor has no clothes. Everything they push is fake and they. They aren't better than us, they are just in control.
