The TV Police came to my pos flat and demanded to be let in so they could look around. $1000 bucks if they found a TV, or even TV programs on a computer! (Luckily, my laptop was in my backpack.) You think the BBC is free? Silly Americans, Public broadcasting costs big bucks in Britain.

What really pisses me off is when people try to smuggle in printed items and pamphlets without the proper stamps. Parliament passes those laws for a reason!

No, only pay to watch. Until recently you could watch online so long as you waited 24hrs after program was aired but they closed that loophole for BBC programs. As far as I know you can still watch any commercial station online for free legally.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Americans are under the jurisdiction of the TV Police while in Britain.

ALSO, there's a yearly $1000 Council Tax for being alive. I scurried out of the country without paying. Newcastle Council threatened to sue me but all the info I'd given them was false. Fuck Big Brother.

They have no right of access they are not the police. You should have told them to ''sling their hook''.
Only about £240 a year though which is good value for 100 odd channels.
Plus big bonus of no adverts on any of the BBC TV or radio stations.

He said he'd gotten "signal" (!?! From a TV?!?) so if I didn't let him in, they would ASSUME I had a TV and fine me.

That's to pay for things like refuse collection, street lighting and policing.
Again, no address no pay.
