This is not a pitch for hedonism, or self-interest, btw. Simply knowing ones objective place in the universe.

To the world you are only one person, to one person you could be the world. Objective that. Peterson is into Phenomenology . I believe your experience is your reality, and knowing or thinking you know astrophysics doesn't negate your experience or mean your nothing to the universe. What the point of acknowledging that or worse harping on it?

The point is to break your mind free of the daily grind, and see yourself as more than a paycheck and support system for those around you.

Devaluing yourself leads to devaluing others. Remember that you're a miracle of evolution, and that others around you are as well. Once you take that view, you feel pity for those that are squabbling over crumbs, and trying to control each other.

That alone is not really worth posting. I mean, is anyone surprised this lady said something that stupid? Likely not. The part of the article that irritated me the most was this:

In 2014, she criticized the response of then-Gov. Jay Nixon (D) to unrest in Ferguson, at one point tweeting the governor, “I want a public apology for the Missouri Hwy Patrol excessively tear gassing a Senator & her constituents for 3 hrs 1st night!”

Following Thursday's social media outburst, Chappelle-Nadal told the Associated Press that though she should not have posted the comment, she was exercising her right to free speech.

Trump’s comments about Charlottesville “make it easier for racists to be racists,” she told the Kansas City Star. “As long as I have a voice, I’m going to talk about the damage is creating in this nation.”

It's the utter hubris and inability for self-reflection that astounds me. Lady, you're up there screaming about "house slaves", Ferguson, and the president being assassinated, but you won't accept any responsibility for your actions because Trump is making it easier for racists to be racists? Have you met yourself? Have you examined your own track record?

I was just about to post about the MO congresswoman. Hypocrisy alert. The same ones saying that there is no place for hate speech and that hate speech needs to be shut down an not allowed are now going to cheer someone who is openly hoping for the assassination of a fellow American (who happens to be the POTUS).
