Re: Unite the Right
The point is to break your mind free of the daily grind, and see yourself as more than a paycheck and support system for those around you.GloryofGreece wrote:To the world you are only one person, to one person you could be the world. Objective that. Peterson is into Phenomenology . I believe your experience is your reality, and knowing or thinking you know astrophysics doesn't negate your experience or mean your nothing to the universe. What the point of acknowledging that or worse harping on it?GrumpyCatFace wrote:Be more clear. This is not a pitch for hedonism, or self-interest, btw. Simply knowing ones objective place in the universe.
Devaluing yourself leads to devaluing others. Remember that you're a miracle of evolution, and that others around you are as well. Once you take that view, you feel pity for those that are squabbling over crumbs, and trying to control each other.

Missouri Democrat Lawmaker posts that she hopes the president is assassinated:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the ... 22c5948ad9
That alone is not really worth posting. I mean, is anyone surprised this lady said something that stupid? Likely not. The part of the article that irritated me the most was this:
It's the utter hubris and inability for self-reflection that astounds me. Lady, you're up there screaming about "house slaves", Ferguson, and the president being assassinated, but you won't accept any responsibility for your actions because Trump is making it easier for racists to be racists? Have you met yourself? Have you examined your own track record?. . . Chappelle-Nadal once likened those looking to hand control of the St. Louis police force from the state to local authorities to “house slaves,” according to the Post Dispatch.
In 2014, she criticized the response of then-Gov. Jay Nixon (D) to unrest in Ferguson, at one point tweeting the governor, “I want a public apology for the Missouri Hwy Patrol excessively tear gassing a Senator & her constituents for 3 hrs 1st night!”
Following Thursday's social media outburst, Chappelle-Nadal told the Associated Press that though she should not have posted the comment, she was exercising her right to free speech.
Trump’s comments about Charlottesville “make it easier for racists to be racists,” she told the Kansas City Star. “As long as I have a voice, I’m going to talk about the damage is creating in this nation.”

The last line of that: "Do the things that make you feel good. You get to decide whatever this means for you."GrumpyCatFace wrote:Be more clear. So simply because the slate gets wiped clean because in the end, nothing matters, allows you do whatever feels good for you? And "bonus points" if you help people? If nothing matters, then why should 'bonus points' matter? It's all based off of whatever feels good? That could be anything to anyone. I'm sure Peterson would point out that Stalin thought that liquidating millions of people felt good because it was right in his mind. Same goes for the Columbine shooters. Getting your jollies, whatever they may be, because the cosmic slate is eventually wiped clean is dangerous.

Re: Unite the Right
I was just about to post about the MO congresswoman. Hypocrisy alert. The same ones saying that there is no place for hate speech and that hate speech needs to be shut down an not allowed are now going to cheer someone who is openly hoping for the assassination of a fellow American (who happens to be the POTUS). If Trump's words are making it easier for racists to be racists, what are your words doing? Oh yeah, the lefties are altering reality every day, so now their violence, hate, and bigotry are just. May as well go to war with ourselves then, because one you get on that train of violence is justified you are going down that path.
F*ck the Nazis, and f*ck people like this who do the same sh*t, just in the other direction.
The knee-jerk reactions of suddenly tearing down statues that have been there for decades is frightening. I hate neo-Nazis and racists, but at some point they are going to go beyond that line (some already have). Then they will move on to the next, and then the next. Pretty soon they will be creating the fascist state they claimed to be so against. F*cking morons.
Sorry I'm cussing a lot and not being more eloquent in my post. This just has me really fired up right now because I can see where it is headed.

Lolz - come on DB - you're better than this. The hack of a mayor doesn't believe a dam thing she says, nor do her constituents who just want to fight OWGs at every possible juncture....The DNC gains power through hate....the poor minorities and women hate OWGS - doesn't matter if OWGS deserves the hate or not, the DNC gains power through it.....so hacks like this mayor keep hacking......at some point, things will come to a front - people can only take so much bull shit and oppression - the DNC has made it clear that this is the course they want to pursue.
At some point - you will [[realize]] accept this.
