He's using the libel lawsuit to point out that they are lies, and do so publicly. You guys are acting like Trump shot a double bogey when his performance is par for the course. Trump has always been willing to use frivolous lawsuits to make PR statement, he's just doing that again. Might not be a good look to you, but to Trump's base, all they see is the counterpuncher in him, not a bad look to them.

If they are lies, the libel laws still do not apply. He's actually using some kind of contractual agreement to keep this information from being published. Not a good look.

It's a good PR move, and this is a POTUS who will take advantage of that. Any politician who can afford it, and who doesn't sue for libel on this scale, is a moron. His name is his name.

The lawsuit being frivolous is unimportant, all that matters is that he sues, the fine details are irrelevant to public perception. He's defending his name in public, via frivolous lawsuit, Trump has been using that for years, and it's not a bad look.
