I can fire my enclosed hammer single action, with some effort. The accuracy is not great, and being the alloy airweight doesn't help, but it is so damn easy to pack. You forget its there.

I used to live on a property in a shady neighborhood. It was on about a half-acre of land and our house was hidden at the very back of the lot behind a long driveway and a lot of trees. Twice, some random male showed up at the door acting sketchy, peering in windows, yelling to see if anyone was inside, while the wife was home alone.

That's what convinced me to switch from the shotgun (which I had maneuverability concerns about) to handguns.

Took my wife out shooting after that, moved to a better neighborhood, haven't had any problems since.

But if you're simply assuming that Americans want to morph into Europe-lite and there's no possibility of an alternative future I'd remind you that 99.9% of America also believed President Hillary Clinton was inevitable in the recent past. I'd also mention that millennials are getting older and moving into higher tax brackets, so their wake-up call on the reality of government vs the fable of government is due pretty soon.
