It's hard for me to see any kind of reversal of the trend any time soon, since the country is still reeling. Maybe once the memory of the devastation is gone, it's possible. Maybe in a couple generations.

ILLEGALLY produced Fentanyl is NOT part of the "prescription drug epidemic." Racheting down on legal pain medications because of illegal production is NOT the answer.doc_loliday wrote: ↑Mon Jan 14, 2019 12:07 pmI meant illegally produced and sold fentanyl. The opioid crisis began because of the large amounts of prescription narcotics flooding the streets. Once that got clamped down on, the addicts turied to heroin, which has been replaced by fentanyl. My point is, I think in the coming decades, we will see a decline in opioid addiction, since people don't start shooting fentanyl and heroin.Martin Hash wrote: ↑Mon Jan 14, 2019 11:59 amFentanyl is #1 and the screws have been down on it since the beginning, and heroin is #2 and it’s totally illegal.

I didn't mean to say they were. I was talking about the opioid crisis in general. I agree that it has been become harder for those in legitimate pain to get the medicine they need and that isn't right. But there was a good long run where it was really easy to get prescription drugs. Oxy was everywhere.

And you know his answer is going to involve nukes, and probably be in all caps.

It is extremely difficult now. I suspect suicide is rising as a result. Before opium products hit western markets, most people in that kind of pain managed to hasten their deaths if not outright kill themselvesdoc_loliday wrote: ↑Mon Jan 14, 2019 12:43 pmMartin Hash wrote: ↑Mon Jan 14, 2019 12:39 pmILLEGALLY produced Fentanyl is NOT part of the "prescription drug epidemic." Total embargo against PRC. Cut them out of the WTC.
Won't happen....but that's what God Emperor Zlaxer would do...
Seriously - this is a deliberate move against the US by the PRC....they know first hand how opiates can wreck a country.
