They had to get him off the plane somehow, he forced the issue by forcing them to remove him physically. Nothing illegal about kicking an unruly passenger off a plane who is delaying take off and refuses to leave barring physical force.
And now he's going to get paid, they are losing billions, and its a PR nightmare.

No matter who you think is in the wrong here in real life the passenger is the winner and the airline is the loser

Yep. The free market is killing them right now.

Negative. It was illegal to try to force him out for another passenger. The flight was not overbooked. They wanted to kick out paying customers to make room for their own employees.

You can't sell one customer a service, and then rescind that service for another customer. Not in the US, anyway.

That's illegal, son.
The flight was overbooked, so not illegal.

Was this guy a bitch? Fuck yes. But no matter what the small print says when you buy a service you are expected to receive the service you paid for. Otherwise the company is ripping you off.

These businesses exist for the passengers, if they have no passengers, they cease to have a reason to fly. Its time they start acting like that.

On top of this, then we have government officials forcibly acting on behalf of a private company. Fascism
Fuck off cuck. Your entitlement ends when your feet step aboard my vessel. I'd sooner drop you off in Mobile Alabama then let you tell me how to captain my ship. Law of the Air reigns supreme.
This isn't some fucking Tall Ship in the Age of Exploration, this is a bus of the sky ran by a private company in order to move passengers from one city to another

In point of fact, it was NOT overbooked. It was booked full, and United wanted to boot paying customers to make way for their employees.

It's a PR nightmare because the public are a bunch of fucking entitled pansies. United might be losing, but this man baby isn't winning. It's fail all around.

So getting the service you paid for is entitlement now?

Nice.

That's overbooked. A pilot who is going to fly another plane of passengers needs the seat more, if he gives up his seat to man baby then an entire flight gets cancelled. That's not a solution, man baby is the odd man out, too bad so sad. Man baby's seat isn't more important than the seats of entire plane filled with customers, nice try.

It is if there aren't enough seats on the plane dumbass. He can get on the next plane.

Negative. It was not overbooked. Not even United claims the flight was overbooked.

That article Fife linked might educate you on the topic when you are done virtue signaling.

And you're another useless blob that just got felt up by an inner city youth after you took off your shoes while you racked up a credit charge to pay for the flight your boss racked up a credit charge to pay for.

You're not special. Get the fuck off my plane or I'll fuck you up you worthless sack of shit.
