Yep. Just like Barry. But guys like him want to use his ancestry as a magic combination to give him a free pass.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Mon Jan 21, 2019 3:12 pmIt doesn't matter how you identify or not.
African-American just refers to an American of African descent.
You could be called a European American by the same categorization.
I don't think it a good idea to start stripping people of their racial identity. It smacks of civic nationalism. As if we can all just forget about race as some social construct and then utopia will be ushered forth. It doesn't work that way.

Suddenly my drunken debauchery at the 1988 GOP convention in New Orleans seems like a Sunday School picnic.
'88 really was lit, comrades.

Former SF Mayor and Assembly Speaker weighs in on her rise through the ranks. Legislature has a casting couch too.
https://www.sfchronicle.com/politics/ar ... 562972.phpYes, we dated. It was more than 20 years ago. Yes, I may have influenced her career by appointing her to two state commissions when I was Assembly speaker.
And I certainly helped with her first race for district attorney in San Francisco.
