I don't think it necessarily works that way, because Israeli Jews and American Jews aren't exactly the same, the American Jews are majority liberal self hating Jews, they're not like the Sabra's of the Likud.

Trump has boosted his popularity in Israel perhaps, but I don't think it necessarily translates exactly the same at home.

That's another matter. I just think this was a good (albeit very late) response to their conduct on 9-11. Fuck them.

I don't think we should constantly run cover for Israel, though the Euro anti-Semitism constantly on display is undeniable.

But the Israeli response to 9-11 was that it was "good for Israel", they may not have been dancing in the streets, but behind the scenes they were high five-ing. Nobody wants you to be attacked more than the Israelis do, it doesn't play into your hands, but it sure plays into theirs.

I'm not saying you should throw yourselves in front of the Palestinians, they did their own graves, but it does not follow that you throw yourselves in front of Tel Aviv, they only care about themselves, and the more heat America takes for it, the better it is for them.

I think the Jews who were with him, were already with him, I don't think the liberal Jews are flipping sides over this, the liberal Jews despise Netanyahu, they're not with Likud, so more like trying to rally what was already his, rather than flipping anybody. /shrug

But American Jewish leaders and Netanyahu did mostly agree on one thing Trump did: recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Most major American Jewish groups praised the move, which Netanyahu called a “courageous and just decision.”

In fact, Israel should probably just revoke their Jew card at that point. Be like “You’re not part of us, you’re no different than the other 126 clown nations condemning the recognition of Jerusalem as our Capitol at the UN”.
