I think we’re a lot closer to Weimar Germany at this point, than the Roman Empire. Maybe the fall of the Republic.

There’s a serious right-wing backlash coming, and odds are pretty good that it’ll overshoot into civil war, and dictatorship.

Economic reality is a bitch.
Oh Hell Yeah.
We have all the moral depravity of Weimar Krautland.

Boats and Bridges

Once is happenstance.
Twice is coincidence.
Three times is enemy action.

2 boats losing power in front of major bridges is pretty wild. I’d like to know how often this normally happens, but also need a coherent theory of how to make this happen.

And the coincidences keep coming. Cargo ship loses power and multiple tugs required to keep it from hitting the Verranzano Bridge in NYC

Yeah, that is suspicious.

June 9, 1974

Saudi Arabia signed a 50 year deal to trade oil with the dollar.

That agreement will expire this week, and will not be renewed. The Petro dollar as we know it, is dead.

SA is moving towards BRICS.

It’s a bad time to dependent on our ‘reserve currency’.

Not to be a dork, but I was yelling about this a few years ago :)
