Go pedal yours.

Nothing there isn't false. Saddam Hussein had a WMD Project, and then he hadn't after two military operations.
And then the White House came up with the idea he had when preparing for a new war. CIA director
then decided to be a "team player".
More horseshit. You're trying to convince someone that because Saddam had and used WMDs in the past, that that past use is why Iraq was invaded, which is a total fucking lie.

Everyone knew about him gassing the Kurds, and Iranians. We didn't invade in 2003 because of something that happened in the eighties. The past use had nothing to do with the invasion. That's nothing more that your usual dishonest horseshit trying to deflect from the habitual liars in the IC that you hold so highly.

Every agency in the IC backed up the CIA's bullshit claim that Saddam was manufacturing WMD's in 2003. They didn't say Saddam posed a threat because of the Kurds. The invasion had nothing to do with the Kurds getting gassed decades before. That's just some horseshit lie you made up.

Go figure that the cheerleader for the lying IC is full of lies himself.

READ WHAT OTHERS WRITE GODDAMIT!

Just read what I said, and you ought to notice that I DIDN'T SAY that. Ever. That's not what anybody has said, actually.

How does that state that? I've allways said that all propaganda bullshit that the Bush Whitehouse, basically the Vice President in charge, was a lie. Operation Desert Storm, the inspections afterwards and in the end OPERATION DESERT FOX put an end to the Saddam's WMD program. The end.

Then afterwards, Bush Administration starts with all the lies about Iraq being connected to Al Qaeda. The Yellow Cake from Niger lie where they out a CIA agent in the later process about it. The Mushroom Cloud scare. Cheney actually starts IMMEDIATELY after 9/11 his project of lobbying for an Iraqi invasion.

Then it was the time of Freedom Fries.

You are not responding all to what others write.

I don't think we have a disagreement here. Only that you don't bother reading what others write.

I brought up the Grassley memo earlier, here's more on it

WSJ Columnist: Why is the Media Ignoring the Real Bombshell FISA Memo?
Two big points there: Even after the FBI recognized Steele was an established liar, his dishonesty was not disclosed to judges deciding whether to keep the warrants active during renewal applications, which were largely predicated on Steele's credibility. And the topic about which he apparently lied was whether he blabbed to folks in the media about his work, which could have opened up the floodgates for disinformation from shady characters eager to make the anti-Trump case as juicy and brimming with salaciousness as possible. That's where Blumenthal and company, whom I wrote about here, may have come in. What a mess. Also, speaking of not revealing pertinent information to the courts, it looks like Nunes was technically incorrect that the judges weren't made aware that the Steele dossier was paid political oppo research. But he was more broadly correct that the judges didn't have even close to the full picture of who was behind the unverified partisan document upon which they were primarily basing the surveillance of a US citizen -- who happened to be a former aide to a major presidential campaign from the out-of-power party.

um
U.S. Spies, Seeking to Retrieve Cyberweapons, Paid Russian Peddling Trump Secrets
https://mobile.nytimes.com/2018/02/09/u ... trump.html

After months of secret negotiations, a shadowy Russian bilked American spies out of $100,000 last year, promising to deliver stolen National Security Agency cyberweapons in a deal that he insisted would also include compromising material on President Trump, according to American and European intelligence officials.

The cash, delivered in a suitcase to a Berlin hotel room in September, was intended as the first installment of a $1 million payout, according to American officials, the Russian and communications reviewed by The New York Times. The theft of the secret hacking tools had been devastating to the N.S.A., and the agency was struggling to get a full inventory of what was missing.

Several American intelligence officials said they made clear that they did not want the Trump material from the Russian, who was suspected of having murky ties to Russian intelligence and to Eastern European cybercriminals. He claimed the information would link the president and his associates to Russia. Instead of providing the hacking tools, the Russian produced unverified and possibly fabricated information involving Mr. Trump and others, including bank records, emails and purported Russian intelligence data.

The United States intelligence officials said they cut off the deal because they were wary of being entangled in a Russian operation to create discord inside the American government. They were also fearful of political fallout in Washington if they were seen to be buying scurrilous information on the president.
...
The episode ended this year with American spies chasing the Russian out of Western Europe, warning him not to return if he valued his freedom, the American businessman said. The Trump material was left with the American, who has secured it in Europe.
...
American spies are not the only ones who have dealt with Russians claiming to have secrets to sell. Cody Shearer, an American political operative with ties to the Democratic Party, has been crisscrossing Eastern Europe for more than six months to secure the purported kompromat from a different Russian, said people familiar with the efforts, speaking on the condition of anonymity to avoid damaging their relationship with him.
any opinions on this?

It’s obviously just an attempt to get ahead of the IG report.

Drudge isn’t even featuring it which makes me think the general plan for the Trump media is to lie back in the weeds a bit so the waters calm a that way the tidal wave of the IG report will appear that much larger once it broaches the horizon.

Most likely.

Not in the long run, tbh. China probably enjoys a little American instability as long as it benefits them, but they're reliant on a healthy US economy and consumer needs in ways that Russia isn't. If the US becomes entirely ungovernable, it won't be the Russians the world will look to, it will be Beijing and not Moscow the worlds banks, major companies and shareholders will look to as the next guarentee for international financial stability.
