I wasn't attacking Trump, I was attacking your assessment of Trump. Ignoring his weaknesses is just as bad as seeking a perfect candidate.

I watched the Pentagon briefing on Afghanistan

My take aways
1. Lloyd Austin is an empty suit. There were moments when he simply went deer in the headlights, dead air, couldn't answer questions. Milley bailed him out a little.

2. Milley is your standard kiss ass officer that is very good at talking forcefully, with all the catch phrases and can talk for hours without saying much of anything.

3. Biden admin is at war with each other. We don't have a unified government.
- Milley forcefully stated 'No One could have seen this coming'
- CIA and DOD has already said they warned Biden
- Biden has said they followed the Intelligence
- Whitehouse and DOD putting out conflicting answers on their capabilities to get Americans out

4. COVID is their golden bull. Both Austin and Biden keep inserting COVID into Afghanistan, they need to keep the fear up on COVID or they lose everything.
- secondarily, they are using womens rights to make the Taliban the boogeyman


Overall, the DOD came off lost, their story doesn't add up. It is as fucked up as you think it is.
