Arizona State University's phone number for students in crisis has received a massive number of calls in the past two days after a California professor ranted against Barbara Bush and posted the crisis hotline as her personal number.
The hotline typically receives about 5 calls per week, according to ASU.
On Wednesday afternoon, about a day after Jarrar's post, the line was still getting 50 to 70 calls per hour, ASU said.
ASU said the professor does not have any apparent affiliation with the university.
What a wonderful example and teacher for our children. She should be arrested or at least fined for pulling this stunt.
It's getting worse, and now the University is starting to pay a financial price as University donors are pulling out financial support of Fresno State.
You can embarrass Big Corporations like Universities and they might stick with you. But when they see you are costing them money from long time supporters, they are more likely to cut you loose. I think SWATTING the mental call line is going to bury Barrar in this. Fresno State needs to make the share holders happy again, they do that by firing Hogzilla, and apologizing. If she just hadn't trolled the mental health line she probably would have been ok.................. but money talks.
The key is she gets fired will be finding out what kind of a going away present she gets fro the University. If they basically suspend her with pay for a year, then she really didn't pay any price.

Would you hire her for a well paid position to represent your organization ? Of course not, because you know she's a loose canon that may fuck you over at any moment. Plus, now everyone else knows that too. So as soon as you hire her, you have to explain why you support a person that trashes the dead and SWATs a mental health line.

The university handled it the best they could. They denounced her speech and defended her right to to say such things. They really fucked up when they hired her and gave her tenure. She's clearly a buffoon.
