Contemplation ONLY works when you have a great deal of input to contemplate, the wider the better, that's where my interests in all things gives an edge. For example, Scott Adams, as awesome as he is, has only experienced a piece of the pie of universal knowledge, and like all people, he fills the rest in with mysticism: psychosomatic illnesses, affirmations, "God Debris," a truly cult-like Periscope channel, unable to form personal relationships; the guy's a mess. I don't know how "useful" the book will be for most people, but many of his truisms have helped me clarify somethings and put this in a healthier perspective. Besides learning a ton about mythological archetypes (*which is fascinating to me) and personality traits (which is useful to know and interesting) I've learned simpler ideas that reinforce better behavior.

I'm a guy that is high in trait Openness and fairly low in sub trait "Orderliness" and higher in "Neuroticism ". Now I know my disorder and disorganization generally negatively impact my life. And I also know that is one "trait" that even if you can't change really temperamentally you can through habit. I spend too much time researching ideas and concepts instead of planning and delivering. I'm in the clouds and I need to come back down to leveled earth essentially.
