Yeah, by shitting all over the American flag, they are just like the black soldiers fighting to free slaves in the Civil War.

When you shit on the American flag, you literally shit on the sacrifice of the black soldiers who laid down their lives to free their fellow blacks from slavery. Something to ponder..

And they have every right to protest something. They are not protesting the flag, or the anthem but originally, it was police abuse because things like this were being reported on (what seemed like) a daily basis:

Now, are they against the National Anthem- no. Are they against the flag- no. BUT they want to make a statement about police brutality and shutting them out just leads to things getting bigger and bigger. They know they are famous, they knew that games are broadcast live nationally, that is why they are doing that. To get their message out to the public.

When you protest during the national anthem, no one gives a shit what you are originally protesting about, whether it's worth protesting or not, it's counter-productive to do it during the national anthem, period.

Quit being so damn dense, this isn't about who has the right to do what, this is about idiots being idiots and hurting the cause the claim to be fighting for, just so they can pretend they are doing something productive, even though they are doing the exact opposite. These folks don't care whether they are doing good or not, they only care about feeling like they did good regardless of outcome, good intentions is all that matters to these blockheads.

People who actually fight for the causes that these athlete's claim to champion, they should distance themselves from these idiots protesting during the national anthem, if they know what's good for them. Those dummies are not helping their cause at all, they are hurting it so they can feel good about themselves, and should be treated accordingly. Just because you have a right to protest, that doesn't mean you should protest at one of the dumbest possible times to do so, and that's what these clowns are doing.

Given both sides, attention is what both sides want. Why this shit is blowing out of proportions. I mean I doubt that the average football fan really gives a fuck but when Trump opens his big mouth on an issue then it does become a national thing.

The average fan agrees with Trump that these protesters are being anti-American faggots, but too many athletes fell for Trump's bait anyway, and made it look they were just protesting him. Fucking morons, Trump played them like puppets and drew even more negative attention to them than they would garnered on their own by slamming them on twitter, and good on him for doing it.

Yep. I can't believe they were really this stupid. That tar baby was too obvious and they fell for it anyway.

If they are going to be that stupid, might as well feed them more rope to hang themselves. Hence why Trump played this the way that he did.

Scott Adams thinks Trump is a Master Persuader. I don't know about that but he's certainly a Master Baiter. (You guys should be in awe of my rhetorical skills.)

NFL players aren't *technically* government employees.

Technically.

Fife, can you explain legally how Congress has oversight over the NFL and MLB ?
