Speculation is rampant on how National Socialism would have worked out had Germany won once Hitler died. Anyway, fascism is not the same as communism. Communism continuously fails to produce any results, whereas history has multiple accounts of successful fascistic regimes.

The state collaborating with industry and forcing every body to work to increase production and profit is a good way to generate wealth.

Results of a kind. I am sure once enough wealth is generated the utopia will kick right in and be peachy.

Well Germany did quite well for themselves during the Great Depression. Went on to build the Autobahn which inspired our highway system. If you were cool with Hitler and weren't a Jew it was a great time to be a German.

If you were cool with Chavez, Venezuela was a pretty good place to be Venezuelan until the bottom fell out of oil.

Relative comfort under a 'temporary' dictatorship isnt a rubric for good governance.

Actually Venezuela was fine In 00 when I visited Caracas. Typical leftist graffiti displayed prominently and police patrols but other than that, quite nice indeed. I think part of their troubles began around ethanol but I don't remember the story. Not sure how they could have played it different but iirc they hawked their gold and will never get it back lol.

I live in a van. It's already weird. In fact I'm probably closer to reality when the paper is worthless than most. I'll likely be alright but of course it's my son I worry about more. No telling what the welfare proles will get up to.

Anyway, what I find interesting is that while right leaning and even fascistic regimes achieve some modicum of stability, almost universally, left leaning or Marxist regimes always fail. I think the difference is in how long it takes for them to fail. Leftist regimes just drag out forever sometimes.

Edit: I really think I'm mixing and matching terms here in this post a lot. Probably need to think on this more.
