Depending on the position, that is still a feasible commute. However, my cousin lived in Seattle and said the traffic is a nightmare so idk. In a way, it seems like Bezos is giving Seattle the finger. Its like he is saying, "Fuck you, I aint paying you shit, I'm gonna move just far enough away for you to see me making bank and be jealous."


They are going to turn the old abandoned Amazon facility into a cremation facility to dispose of the many homeless corpses who OD'd on fentanyl in the Starbucks restroom.

Most people in the Greater Seattle area saw it coming, and are sympathetic toward Amazon, given the endless taxation and wasteful nature of the City Council. The lunatics actually in Seattle are clinging hard to the "RICH OPPRESSOR HATES THE POORS, HAS ALL THE MONEY, GREEDY MALTHUSIAN WANTS PEOPLE TO DIE" mantra.

They really think if Amazon, Starbucks, and any other company making more than $10million a year simply handed their profits over to the City Council, then all of Seattle's problems would go away.

What disturbs me about this is that you mentioned that the city council and the people behind these poverty programs have no objective. Like, lets say that I wanted to reduce the amount of homelessness in my city by half by the year 2024. So I come up with a target, a plan to implement and a budget. You might say that this is a Quixotic idea and a waste of money. And you would probably be right. However, at least there is a theoretical endpoint. You mentioned that these council members and govt groups did not plan it out that way. They kind of pulled a mini-Merkel and said: "Come on in!" to the homeless around the country. And it kind of works in their favor since their budget is created via extracting wealth from others, so more homeless means more money.

I wonder how long it will take the voters in Seattle to reject this crazy shit. I can see a mass exodus occuring there. That's like a slap in the face. Paying high taxes and being forcefully surrounded by homeless drug addicts.

If San Francisco is any indicator, the answer is never. Once you have a preponderance of economically illiterate, identity-politicking, douchebags who believe themselves to be enlightened, they never reject the crazy shit. Because SJW-politics is their religion. They aren't leaving it any more than the Taliban is ditching Islam. You can point to the shitscape surrounding them and they'll write it off as a symptom of something else - anything except the logical endgame of their deeply-held views.

The main problem with the liberal approach to solving homelessness is that their solutions only attract more homeless people into the city. All their poverty programs do the same. The more they throw money at poverty, the more poor people move in to avail themselves of that system until the situation goes full-Detroit.

The way to solve poverty and homelessness is to deal with the underlying issues: jobs, mental healthcare, etc.

Worst part of this sick relationship between the two branches of neoliberalism is that the liberals are burning the candle at one end, with their anti-poverty programs throwing money at people, and the conservatives are burning the candle at the other end with the mass migration of cheap labor, job offshoring policies, and every sort of economic fuckery that is going on under their watch. The only thing they seem to agree on is the surrendering of our nation to foreigners through mass illegal migration of assholes from Latin America.

I think eventually people in SF will get frustrated. They will probably never admit that they caused the problem, but they will leave and bring their fucked up ideas to more conservative parts of the country. That is really what scares me. Liberals fleeing with a molten crater in their wake, learning nothing, and then leaving for greener pastures that they can graze upon. It has been happening in Florida for god knows how long. Snowbirds come here for our advantageous taxes and so forth, and they bring with them these ideas. My last 6 bosses have been from up North, and they just repeat the same fucking talking points over and over again. They have this weird contempt for the South and its residents. What I don't fucking get, is why did you come here if it sucks so bad? I don't like many aspects of my state, but I'm not going to Ohio and New York and saying, this place sucks, you all should pay higher taxes and have a continually growing HIV nanny state because I watched a 20 minute episode of John Oliver and now understand econ.
