Inflation reported as over 9%, which means it's a helluva lot higher than 9%.

Buckle up, the mass layoffs are coming soon.
Already applying for a second job. ;)
Shadow stats usually has the real inflation rate at approx double the US gov official. The real inflation rate is likely 17-22%

Without a doubt. It’s time to take advantage and capitalize.

I work from home, and I’ve got plenty of free time. Might as well take another one. It’s a big trend that’s showing up on employment statistics.

It’s not fair to people still working in offices/in person, but I’m not getting run over by inflation anymore.

I'm just going for raises, already got a 25% increase over the last 12 months. Next is to get a promotion.

Interest rates going up is a good thing, they have been far too low for far too long because our leaders forgot that after lowering interest rates in bad times you are supposed to raise them in good times. This kind of corrective action will cause some short term harm, but it should result in a healthier economy. Of course, that is all assuming our leaders are learning the right lesson, which is doubtful.

All true, but our real problem has been the insane money printing. Now that they’ve normalized that, interest rates are less relevant.
