It's mainly limited to a handful of towns like Asheville, Boone, and Johnson City as far as I can tell.

But if Appalachia really did become it's own sovereign state, then I think most of them would return home to one of the yankee states when they realize there exists no more hope of converting the entire region. I already get the sense from many of them who live over in Asheville that they are a beleaguered bunch. Within a small area, they have their California-like environment, but driving just a little bit out of there and they are surrounded by rebel flags.

What I am not sure I would want is the Southland being part of it because it has this huge crescent of crime and democrat cutting straight across it. Hell, it's far leftmost tip is not far from here in Charlotte. Fuck that shit with a stick. And then.. look at Texas. Don't want that shit either.

Our time is interesting in that we are seeing a lot of colonization going on. On the one hand, you have the obvious racial colonization from Latin America. You also have the religious colonization from Islam. But the cultural colonization from the yankee states is off the hook, and those people are no different. They have their own homes to return to if they don't wish to integrate. And the thing is.. what American culture is easier to integrate into than Appalachia? Just stop fucking with your neighbors.
